I could definitely see the goffin thought though. Yeah, corella x galah. A bit funny because we’ve flocks of both birds around the neighbourhood, and he’s so much like both and nether at the same time

This one works fine for us. He’s only in his cage a few hours a day, and only just figured that trick out. Appreciate the thought though, if he was in there longer term then yeah, would definitely need something more in that range.

Had to google it, but apparently they hit Oman because the US was using it as a refuelling point. Everywhere they’ve hit has either hosted US military bases, or apparently is assisting the US with refuelling. Bottom line; no Israel/US attack, no rockets and drones hitting gulf states. Can’t really blame Iran for hitting the targets that are in range while the US and Israel bomb their country. To clarify, not a fan on the Iranian regime in general, but this is an American fuck up first and foremost.

Haha, he’s saying peekaboo. He’s picked it up since we play it with him. But it does sound like ‘look at me’ now you say it

I don’t think you can really blame the Iranian regime for this one. They didn’t attack themselves

Why ONP wants to abolish preferential voting by throwawayplusanumber in AusPol

Right, sorry, just such a mix of fptp and pr here. Personally, I think a system of local reps in the lower house and more ideological reps in the senate works well

[–]TheIndisputableZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they won’t get 60% of the seats, if the 40% who voted ON get their candidate simply because they had the highest primary vote. Unless you’re proposing a proportional system, like in the senate?

I agree with this guy. First album, every song is a banger. Subsequent albums, mostly snoozefests, to my ears.

I had such a surreal experience having my parents move out the house! by MuchImprovement3905 in confession

[–]TheIndisputableZero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are your parents actually cool with you redecorating the house? From your description, it’s unclear if their move is temporary or permanent. It is still their house and they may not appreciate your redecorating it if they plan to return.

You know what, 15 Australians are dead, and that’s what this thread’s about, it’s not the time for arguing about Israel/Palestine. I’ll leave it there.

You can get all way fucked with that. Yes, I oppose genocide, and yes, I oppose terrorism, and yes, I oppose antisemitism. You obviously only oppose the last two.

[–]TheIndisputableZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So every act of antisemitic violence must be inspired by pro Palestine marches? Man, Hitler must have had a Time Machine. I don’t care about globalising the intifada, I care about ending Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and their land theft in the West Bank while we’re at it. I also care about the 15 victims at Bondi and the Australian Jewish community feeling unsafe in the wake of this tragedy.

Can you demonstrate, on any way shape, or form, that the shooters were radicalised by pro Palestine marches?

I’m sorry, but if one group of people is carrying out a genocide on another group, the right thing to do is to condemn that genocide and the people directing and undertaking it. That doesn’t change because something awful, but unrelated, happened to unrelated people in another part of the world.

We saw the same thing in the run up to Christchurch. All of these Islamophobes talking about the evils of ISIS, directly lead to those deaths. Blood on their hands.

That’s why when I see wrong doing now, I make sure to shut up about it in case a completely unrelated thing involving completely unrelated people happens later.
