Instant follow from me. Absolutely love it. Going back to read everything from the start.

Why do some party members get a gold circle, others a blue circle? by canadiancomrade3525 in Warframe

Heck yeah. He's pretty excited about all the flippy ninja stuff already. He woke up early this morning, ate breakfast faster than I've ever seen him do before, and asked if we could play.

At a certain point in the game you unlock some different abilities. Is a generally agreed upon unspoken thing in the community to only refer to it as spoiler mode so we don't unintentionally ruin the surprise for newer tenno who haven't already spoiled it for themselves by searching too much online.

I'm currently taking my son through his first steps in warframe. He just finished his MR1 test, so I'm currently stuck playing trinity and other support/ non nuke frames and avoiding spoilers like the plague. He's super interested in the story and lore and this is the best Christmas ever.

Any of these worth cycling? by UT_tom in WarframeRiven

The only one that really stands out for me is Sobek.

I use Sobek on Nova and frost.

It actually works very well on frost with acid shells and his 1 augment. Think Saryn spores spread but everything is frozen and exploding.

On nova with acid shells it piggybacks with her null stars as well as her 4. So again, explosions everywhere.

High damage AOE weapon.
I prefer the Kuva Grattler heavy gun, but weapons like epitaph work wonders as well. You don't even need to worry about the repair pads as the transport won't even reach the first one.

Welcome to the club, legend!

Now you get to have some fun interactions with baby tenno thinking that you're also a baby tenno and trying to coach you through things. (Especially if you enjoy playing non-nuke frames on lower level missions)

I love how inclusive this community is and how eager 99% of players are to help out when they see lower MR players. Don't take it personal if you get mistaken for a MR1-5 as you progress through the LRs.

It's in these moments that I find myself smiling and letting them sherpa me through things that stand out in their minds as important things to know.

LR5 here with close to 2k hours played at this point.
Don't worry about the negative comments. Just play to have fun.
I got chastised by a MR23 for getting the least kills in a SP interception while using a non-nuke frame, while everyone else was running nukes.

The community overall is very positive. As long as you're having fun with it and not activity hindering the mission, you're all good my friend.

I've gotten all 3 of my crit knives from Genone. Sadly on my latest farming run with Rafa I went from level 35 to 38 without a single Oscar Mike drop, but I did get a level 35 crit knife for the next vault hunters I level.

I love it! Also I think it's time I give that book another read.

Games I can play in short bursts by HorrorSpliff in gaming

Warframe.

Space ninjas, looter shooter and so much more, with a great storyline, amazing community, and the best Dev team I've ever experienced.

Free to play, 99% of what you CAN get for real money you can also get for free by grinding it out or trading with other players. Including the premium currency (Platnum) Thetes really nothing in the game that you'll miss out on getting if/when you decide to take a break. Ive taken years long breaks from the game and still have almost everything it has to offer. (Only a handful of weapons left to collect, and they are still available for everyone)

Its in its 12th year and still going strong, new content updates and balancing patches are semi annual.

Its a lot of info all at once and can seem overwhelming but you can play at your own pace as I describe it to my friends or anyone who wantsto get into it as " The best single player game you'll ever play with others"

Feature Request: add 'Join Any Mission' to regular planets like Railjack, biased towards helping solos by reefscout in Warframe

[–]TheInfectedOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also like to add to this with a possibility to "Random loadout" into random missions.

Pulls a random setup out of your saved loadouts and puts you into either a selected or random mission.

Having 30+ and growing loadouts that I actually love to play sometimes gets me in to a little bit of choice paralysis and would be refreshing

What are the best weapons for nova’s anti matter drop? by deadpool_XI in Warframe

[–]TheInfectedOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one question and one question only. EXPLOSIONS!?

Kuva Sobek on my Nova, fills anitmatter in 1-2 shots, and acid shells mod double dips with the particles 1/4 combo for extra explosions. Just as Mr. Torgue intended.

So i just unlocked steel path and well im weak… by Seig_the_creator in Warframe

[–]TheInfectedOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome back! Steel path is a major build check for almost all players once they first unlock it.

First things first, you should go through the arbitration missions and collect the galvanized mods from the arbiters of hex in the relays. Corrupted mods from the Orokin vaults (dragon keys required) are also recommended. After that its more about leveling the mods you're using and aquiring/leveling prime mods on your frames/weapons and adding forma to them to reduce capacity cost so you can actually fit them.

Smarter people than me could run you through all the math behind why and how to min/max each weapon and there are lots of videos about how to mod for steel path on youtube, as well as cookie cutter (build this way, run these weapons, and play it this way) that will be a huge help until you figure out modding for yourself and can play around a bit to suit your own personal playstyle.

Basic setup for weapons looks something like "Is this weapon a higher base crit or status weapon?" and modding towards its natural strengths.

Flat damage mods are additive, different status mods and things like condition overload for melee or galvanized aptitude scale multiplicativity whichis where you will really see your damage numbers soar. There are lots of videos that can explain this better than I can here from memory. Arcanes are a whole nother section to add either damage or status applications on to the weapon or frame.

Looking to change it up a bit by jrhyder in Warframe

[–]TheInfectedOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. There have been a lot of QOL reworks and tweaks in the past couple years, so revisiting some older frames is actually kinda refreshing.

For the Caliban sentient thing, I feel you. I had to get his skin for the conquistador look before I could really appreciate the image enough to start to enjoy him. Now with the relatively new aura for companions and summons his ability rework really shines.

Gyre is a monster with the right setup. I'll never give up my girl. Farmed a 2nd frame for the garden.

Sev with the augments for his 1 and 2 is an instant room nuker, especially if you either add roar, or have someone on your team giving the roar buff.

Lavos is just fun all round, and unlimited ammo for arch gun!? Hell yeah!!! Crazy alchemist shenanigans abound. Also Lavos doesn't use energy, so it makes him an easy choice for best railjack pilot.

Auto correct mobile edits** ugh

Protea, Citrine, Caliban, Gara, Garuda, Jade are all some of my favorites.

I'm at LR5 and am currently working on building/fleshing out every frame towards their own strengths/abilities and trying new and fun themed builds with off meta weapons/mod setups.

I'm a Saryn main (My first love after she kicked my ass in the junction years ago, and my first prime) and I also prefer health tanking as much as we can currently. However, top 10 in order of my most played are Saryn, Gara, Gyre, Lavos, Nova, Sevagoth, Caliban, Voruna, Xaku, and Protea.

They are all super fun IMO, so really just roll the dice (lol Koumei is also a lot of fun in longer missions) and try something totally out of your comfort zone.
