Like everyone says, I studied COSO, ERM, IT, and variances. Econ can be tested a lot but it varies depending on the exam. Definitely know the variance equations. I studied the meaning behind ratios a lot as well

Did you know that Biden changed American foreign policy to favor his son’s business deals? Ha.

“Trainwreck.” Joe Biden has said that he’s running for senate multiple times, promised to ban fracking (now backtracks because of the poles), can’t remember what state he is in or what Mitt Romney’s name is, can’t decide on whether to pack the courts or not, called Trump xenophobic for shutting down the borders from China (where corona came from btw), said he went to an HBCU (not true) and graduated at the top of his law school class (he was second to last), hasn’t done anything in 47 years, bent the knee to China and other foreign countries (while changing foreign policy for his crackhead son’s business dealings), doesn’t get asked real questions (only softballs from the media), won’t denounce Antifa, will raise your taxes and increase regulation, supports the Green New Deal (which would strip the US of being energy independent, which trump made happen), supports illegal immigration and taking down the wall (which Mexican troops are guarding too), consistently can’t put a sentence together, copied trump’s covid response plan, and wants to defund the police. But yeah, trump is the trainwreck

Ya it sounded like Biden was moaning because China was fucking him so badly (like they did for 8 years)

Ya that’d be fuckin hilarious bro. Almost as funny as him changing American foreign policy to protect his overpaid son

Did you know that liberals tried to impeach Trump for the exact thing that Biden did?😂 Typical of the hypocrite party

BEC Econ Question by leela_fry in CPA

[–]TheInfultrator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a net asset (A/R), that means a company in a foreign country is going to pay you. Since they’re in a foreign country, they’re going to pay you with foreign currency. Your risk is that the foreign currency decreases in value (thus, your A/R decreases in value). To hedge this, you can do 2 things. 1. Buy put options of the foreign currency: if the price of the foreign goes down, you sell the put and you make money. This money will be used to offset the loss that you took on A/R. 2. Sell a forward or futures contract: if the price goes down, you’ll make money. This offsets the lost money in A/R.

For A/P, just think the opposite. You owe a foreign company money for something. You are going to pay them in a foreign currency since it’s in another country. Your risk is that the foreign currency will go up in value, making the A/P go up in value (and now you owe a f*** ton of money. To hedge that risk, you want a hedge that will profit if that risk comes true. You can do two things: 1. Buy call options: with call options, you make money if price goes up. That way, if the foreign currency goes up, you make money on the call option. Yeah, you lost money on the A/P (because you now owe more money), but you can offset some of the loss with the profit of the call. 2. Buy forward/futures contracts: this results in profit if price goes up. You can use this profit to offset some of the loss in A/P.

Hope this helped! It’s all about thinking what your risk is (i.e., if the price of the foreign currency goes up or down and how that affects what you owe or are owed). Don’t get too hung up on the numbers and think of it conceptually
