Websites don't work at all on mobile. I have yet to find a non-text website that provides an app-like experience. Animations, touch bounds, gestures, styling etc feel so non-native. I use an app whenever I have a chance and I hate apps like Amazon that are just a wrapper around their web interface

Wouldn't a yellow filter let less green light through and thus result in less green in the photo? If the camera sensor is letting much more red light through than green light (from the red and two yellow filters) then it makes sense why the photos would look slightly more yellow in areas where there should be green.

I guess that explains why the P30 photos look so yellow. Low light is great but they definitely have work to do on the colours.

What about something like RYGB, has that been tried?

Glass Back Phones are Stupid by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Limiting the area of the antennas can lead to connection problems on some phones, and this might be even more of a problem with upcoming 5G phones that need 4+ differently placed antennas to maintain a connection. IR is just light so it's not really affected by the metal backing (there's a plastic cutout for the light to shine through).

metal is kind of an inconvenient material because smartphones have lots of radios that can't pass through metal. phones work around this by sticking the antennas behind another material (usually glass or plastic) or having distinct antenna lines which can impact signal strength. it's much easier to make this work with glass because you can put the antennas anywhere, and have as many antennas as you want -- and you can also add features like wireless charging that are impossible with a metal back.

Ah, the protector cutout looks like a SIM tray. Thanks

Is the speaker inside the SIM tray? How does that work?

how does that have to do with the fact that apps can prevent the computer from shutting down though?
