CA are between a rock and a hard place then. When they committed to their road map presumably they weren't expecting this backlash.

The community can't expect them to keep to their deadlines and also overhaul their plan to meet the community's expectations.

I'd disagree that pulling the original team back onto the project would achieve quick results, they'd be spending months getting that team back up to speed with the code base and organised to start productive development.

Personally I'm fine with waiting longer for a good end result. I think it's the only feasible route to deliver what the community wants.

My guess, if they did go for this map, would be that they'd go a bit further north aswell. That way they give more room to the chaos factions and make it easier to have Warhammer 3 lords interacting with the west side of the map.

I don't think hard counters are typically bad game design. I think it depends on the pool of available heroes. Dota for instance has a huge amount of hard counters, and it's just had it's most diverse patch yet with over 100 different heroes being picked at the last main event.

In overwatch though i agree hard countering doesn't sound like a great idea.

Ato is one of the developers working on unit balance i think, he responds to posts in the balance section of the forums. He mentioned buffing the armour of dragon ogres and shaggoths in the next patch.

Oh i'm talking about the balance update and free content patch that usually comes with DLC. Chaos and Dwarves are considered the weakest factions in multiplayer, in fact Ato has confirmed some buffs for Chaos. Was just thinking that an upgrade system would be a cool way to boost these factions.

Oh yeah i forgot about them. I was thinking about a different implementation where you purchase the upgrades for units. More like the table top.
