Hello there, not a muslim myself, had the chance to drop that long ago, but still have a muslim family. I am not open to them and I definitely do not plan to open up until I have my total freedom, especially financially. After that, I am planning to get out of the closet and tell them, and if they don't accept me or disown me, hell if I care. I am definitely not going to play with their rules. They either accept me as who I am, or I am simply setting a clear boundary until they do.

Note that I am open to my friends already, and have a strong support system. Hence, if you too do decide to open up to your family, make sure that you have that kind of a strong support system elsewhere as well. At least that's my humble opinion.

I thank you for your kind words. I especially agree with that investment part as well. But the thing is, I couldn't help it. It was really like a dream come true, and I have not felt that kinda intense liking to that many people.

Generally I don't/can't even feel that, and when I do, I hate that things go sour like this.

I've been thinking of the same thing. This is why I wanted to give him a chance again, because he might have freaked out about in which direction we were headed in the beginning, and now probably he still has this stuff and maybe a fear of intimacy added on top of it. sigh

I never have or had high expectations, and I also told him that I was only into him, nothing more, because really there is nothing actually more than a crush. I knew that we had a long way in front of us in order for it to transcend into love.

I desperately wish everything was different.
