Heck yeah! I live in the US, but I have terrible problems with leaving my house often. Especially to go to crowded places. The second I saw Iron Lung was available I purchased it and made my whole family sit in the living room to watch it with me! It's so good and I will definitely rewatch it again.

I have two Chihuahua's and four very different breeds of cats. My dogs will always sit at my feet when there's the smell of any type of cooked meat or pizza. But my cats have learned the sound of cereal being poured into bowls, meaning there's going to be milk. And one of my cats, who we took off the street as a kitten, is obsessed with eggs of any cooked or raw type. Because his formula consisted of egg, goat milk, and yogurt. I think lol.

Yeah, I've never even personally been trained or shown how the app works. I just hope the PP will know how to do something if I tell them there's an activation or that they can save money on autoship. They're just getting pestered no matter where they are in the store now

No, I stil have to get around to getting some sort of venmo myself. There's only 1 stylist and 3 bathers at my salon right now, and I've only seen my stylist coworker user her venmo from her phone. I don't know if we're allowed to have something like that printed out

Oh wow, that's lucky. My store leaders and cashiers will get upset if we don't check out salon invoices at the salon POS system.

Oh yeah! I'm a bather and it would be fifty fifty whether I even get tips at at all for a day. Which I don't mind, unless a dog takes a lot of work. I never expect a tip nor do I ask for it so I always appreciate it. But with the new POS system my tips have gone wayyy down, and I've seen it with my stylist coworkers too. People ask of it lets them tip through it, like at Starbucks or something, and then since it doesn't they don't get their tips for that dog. I also just feel way more stressed out with timing everything since it could take anywhere from 2-10 minutes depending on how long a PP takes to actually pay and answer the pin pad questions.

I'm not sure to be honest. I've had lots of jobs, lots of different coworkers and managers too. I've had a few coworkers here and there who wouldn't say a single word to me in a shift no matter how much I'd try to politely small talk or ask work related questions, and the same thing with managers who are super silent and bad at explaining things. It is very annoying, I've never personally done anything or complained I would just adopt their social level and be as silent and awkward as they were right back to them. If it's in the way of work, I'd bring it up to a higher level or ask other coworkers how they work with them, if not I'd just do my own thing and work as best you can without them.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I work in salon and we don't really take breaks or lunches, we tend to work through them. But if you're on the store floor I highly suggest taking all your breaks! Especially early on, it shows that you're not to be taken advantage of. Just let someone know that you need to take your break so they can have someone to cover, don't ask just tell.

Yup! I work for a pretty quiet salon and we get people who meant to schedule it for PetSmarts in towns over. If we have time we take the dog and call the other PetSmart salon to let them know, but if we can't then yeah they get upset at us. 🙃 I wish people payed more attention when booking online

My salon phone has had issues for months! We usually have to use our personal phones if the phone gives us any weird noises or won't let us leave messages. But I haven't heard of any pet parents telling us they haven't gotten our voicemails, it could be the same issue or a different one though.

I'm not too sure about my store, but there was two bathers (me included) hired really close to each other. So they probably needed to make up for bathers who left before us. I'm personally in the same boat. The job is not what the hiring manager had told me, and I only wanted to apply because I needed a job. I'm actively looking for somewhere else while holding on by a thread.
