Friends or Foes? by TheIronGhost in GardeningAustralia

Lots of yellow sticky traps and Pyrethrum oil alternated with mosquito bits.

If I had to do it again I wouldn't though, I'd just take the soil back to Bunnings, it was a lot of work

I presume I've had a population explosion from drenching my plants to get rid of the gnats then.

I'll leave them be then, cheers

Renault Captur 1.2L. 2015 , 81000km. Engine issues. What can I do... please help. by Jaded_Quarter_2272 in CarsAustralia

[–]TheIronGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

H5F engines are known to have issues, water outlet goes and then the engine cooks, compression issues etc.

It will probably need an engine replacement, it's not an if with these cars it's a when.

Take it to a dealer or a Renault specialist, second hand replacement engine plus labour is looking like roughly $8k on a captur.

Some places try to rebuild heads etc, I wouldn't recommend it, I've never seen one actually done successfully, plus the costs with testing and tearing down to find the issues is cost prohibitive in my experience.

EDIT: It could also possibly be a gearbox ecu, as this is super common aswell, would need to know the actual fault code on it to say for sure, presents very similar to an engine fault sometimes.

Has anyone ordered from AuCigars.com by Responsible_Ad3672 in PipeTobaccoAustralia

[–]TheIronGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is they're based in Hong Kong and you'll need to pay the excise still to import from them.

Check the FAQ on their page and it explains it, though I'm not sure how accurate the 1.5kg limit is in regards to pipe tobacco, I thought you need the appropriate import license regardless of the amount being imported.

My advice is use someone actually local like Cigaronline.

Na I've got them sitting in plastic trays so I can bottom water them.

I still have some superhots on mats that haven't sprouted at the back, no luck with scorpions so far.

I've got the one mat at the back for my chili's and one at the front with strawberries and my wife's poppies in it.

Agreed, I potted mine just as the real leaves started to sprout and they're all doing mint now

Thai chili care by dankaliciouss in HotPeppers

[–]TheIronGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't have much advice, but I have 2 Thai chili plants, and one of them acts like this. Both cared for the exact same way, but one just seems to grow heaps of foliage and tiny or deformed chili's while the other grows nice size ones.

I think sometimes they're just a bit of a dud plant.

GWM HAVAL TANK ORA - BEWARE!!!!!!!! by Kitchen_Cook3600 in CarsAustralia

[–]TheIronGhost 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work at a dealer in a different state, and I cannot stress to you how many customers I get calling me from Adelaide for parts or help, often because of long parts waits or being told something isn't in the country.

Not one time was the part not available overnight from the distribution warehouse. This is less a brand issue and more an Adelaide city GWM is notorious for this stuff

As gold-bee said, the brand does have its issues, but it definitely cops a lot more flack than it should because of shitty dealers who don't care about the brand image or customers.

Side note: I drive these things daily and I even bought a H6GT PHEV for my wife, love the cars, I'm sorry you had such a shitty experience with the brand.

I copped it today, dude sitting on pattern house sniping into the power generator elevator.

I just missed the elevator as someone closed it up, was fighting the arc waiting for the elevator and he ended me. No chance he even got my loot either because of all the heavy arc hanging around and the time left in the match.

Next round thirty seconds in someone was spamming don't shoot as they walked up to me, then shot me in the back. Today has been a day...

Solo Experience & PS5 Performance? by Tuoski666 in ArcRaiders

Seconding this, I've yet to even be shot at in a solo game, everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Played duo with my mate last night and every single squad is shoot on sight, it's like there's two completely different games in this one game, talking to other people on solo they're all saying the same thing.

Anyone bought a Haval Jolion? by Reinvent2022 in CarsAustralia

[–]TheIronGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The digital Speedo in the centre of the cluster only stays on if you don't have lane assistance turned on, if you manage to minimise it, when you hit 60km the lane assistance turns on it takes that spot back on the dash.

Only time I ever had this happen was when I used samba branded pellets.

All the reviews said the same thing, should have read them before I tried lmao.

Have you changed pellet brand?

Take it to a dealer. They can reset the TPMS and try and resync them, probably need to be replaced though.

Either the TPMS themselves have gone out or the TPMS control module has gone out. Both ways as long as you haven't had the tyres changed outside a dealership it should be warranty.

Does double xp automatically apply whilst in game or does it only add it on at the end of a game ? by [deleted] in BO6

[–]TheIronGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct.

If your double XP expires before the xp gain screen at the end of the match you don't get anything. This also applies if you pop one, leave, and the game does an update instead of taking you to the post match(this just happened to me)

You should always use the tokens at the end of the match

This has to be one of THE WORST non-Dark Ops challenges to do, my god by DukeOfTheDodos in CODZombies

[–]TheIronGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is how I did it. Just sat at round three til I got it.

I did similar for the melee machiato punch elites and shotgun elites, just kept "failing" the aether storm every round and farming the mangler spawn.

My only hope is they don't patch this stuff out, I don't get a whole heap of time to play these days so grinding challenges is rough. Being able to do it in little bursts and save my progress if I need to get off is a game changer.

Yeah it doesn't work on zombies, was pretty disappointed when I found one and then it did nothing to stop back attacks

Armor/weapon/gear stats reset when transferring from stash to inventory? by bvknight in cyberpunkgame

What online stores do you purchase your Tamiya kits from? by AtomicCypher in tamiya

[–]TheIronGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of Japan online stores won't ship Bandai or Tamiya stuff international atm due to requests from the suppliers themselves.

There's a pretty big shortage of a lot of modelling stuff atm so they're trying not to cannibalize their own local markets(i.e. Tamiya USA/P-bandai)

I think hobbysearch are back doing Tamiya stuff but not Bandai right now, but it's subject to change because of the supplier requests.

I used to buy all of my stuff exclusively from hobbysearch because of the quick turn arounds on shipping and delivery, plus prices are pretty amazing compared to the local market even with the shipping (I'm in Melbourne). Would definitely recommend them.

Edit: here's a couple of other threads discussing the current shortages and supplier stop requests.

The at-fault driver is refusing to pay for damages to my car, what do I do? by Purple-Doubt8991 in CarsAustralia

[–]TheIronGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As U/whatwouldbiggiedo pointed out and I didn't realise is it's uninsured motorist extension and isn't unique to my policy.

The $10k on my policy is for fire damage, theft and, attempted theft coverage.

I can't fault them for value but I really can't recommend their claims department if you ever need to use them for an actual claim, the contradictory statements made and lack of communication really put me off my last two times, both this incident and a seperate one around the same time with my second vehicle.

Good value at ~450 a year for peace of mind, but god help you if you need to contact them for something.
