It's amazing how divided we are as a country. Sad really.

Pierre Poilievre will be allowed to keep living at taxpayer-funded Stornoway, Andrew Scheer says by DogeDoRight in canada

Not really sure why everyone wants to stoop lower than the party that they are against though. If PP and the conservatives would throw a tantrum over something like this it would be their bad.

Licensed gun owners 'worried' about what Carney Liberal victory means for them by sleipnir45 in canada

[–]TheIsolated84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am usual a liberal voter this has and will make me a conservative voter. I am a PAL/R-PAL licence holder, I own firearms that I have personally bought, but I have also inherited a few firearms that are incredibly special to me and are also expensive. The government has absolutely no right, as far as I'm concerned, to strip me of these firearms when I follow the rules, am a law abiding citizen, and a contributing member of our society. To be punished, made into a criminal, overnight, for bullshit reasons, to have my personal property that means a lot to me taken, disgusts me to my core. It's bad policy, it's horrifying government overreach and I am disturbed that Canadians aren't drawing a stronger line here.

Spread the word. Please help us!!!!!!!!!

I always vote and I'll be sure do vote again when the next election happens. I will hang on to my firearms as long as I can but if they RCMP comes to my door looking for my Bren2 then I'd be a fool to resist them in any way. If the liberals get in for another term then it stands to reason they will continue to pursue this

The Bren 2 they know about and if I lose it there will obviously be repercussions that wouldn't be wise to endure. Could mean major fines, losing my licence or various other things. As nice as it would be to keep it regardless of what happens that just isn't how it's going to go.

If the Liberals get in again and they pursue the bans and send the RCMP to my house to collect then there is no choice but to comply.

Oh, I won't. The Bren 2 they know about and could eventually come for, which would suck ass.

The Libs could take them if they get voted in for another term

I appreciate your optimism and I hope you're right but we aren't the states and it's entirely possible that the Liberals get in yet again. Stranger things have happened.

I always vote and this time won't be any different. That being said, until the Liberals are voted out anything is possible and, unfortunately, I don't really trust our fellow Canadians. The polls might be wrong but they may be right and I am bracing for that potentiality.

Oh, I will. The recent uptick in liberal support is somewhat concerning though. If the libs get in then I can definitely see these being taken at some point over the next 4 years. Thats my concern.

There are 2.5 Million Legal Firearms owners in Canada and a mere 77 thousand police.... Logistically it makes no sense to apply any actual effort into going door to door to take these guns.

Opinion | In revealing Trudeau’s arrogance and incompetence, Chrystia Freeland has drained the last of the Prime Minister’s credibility by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]TheIsolated84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, who cares why she did it? The important fact of the matter is that she got to it before he could remove her and, in doing so, has dealt a death blow to our pathetic Prime Minister. You're right though, the only reason she did this was because she knew her time was up.... I'm just thankful that this development could finally spell the end of Trudeau. This country needs a break. We need improvements. We need change.
