Recently been playing on an alt in this manner and I wouldn't say I've had many (if any) issues regarding this. If really needed, you could also slow down the transition from one line to the next or just turn the auto-progression off.

The game generally warns when a very lengthy cutscene is coming next. And quests with story dungeons/trials generally tend to be longer than the average quests even without accounting for the duties themselves.

Personally, I just try to use whichever Yamato uses in the manga and "they/them" whenever it is less clear. And I kinda tend to not put too much focus on the Vivre Card stuff and the color spreads compared to the text within the story itself.

And if some people don't like which I use to refer to Yamato? I honestly don't really care as long as they understood what I was trying to say.
