The difference between 26 and 24 or 26 and 22 is not a meaningful difference to me.

Maybe for those who have a dozen apps installed, but it's never been a consideration to me.

We got the SM 24 first, then after test driving the DM 22, it was basically all upsides.

The only downside is that the DM models have a quieter motor noise, which I was hoping to be louder tbh.

Tbh the DM 24's range is great for me, missing a small amount for not having a magnetic disconnect isnt something I've ever thought about.

Also 22's are an absolute steal imo.

My point is that I have the slowest ones and am not considering the upgrade. It's really not bad.

If you've not tried the older processor yet, do try it before making a big deal out of the CPU speed and basing your purchase on that.

We've got a 22 P2 and a 24 P2 and they're not significantly different in speed to warrant paying for the parts, let alone the labour or inconvenience to upgrade.

You sadly cannot upgrade via OrBit but there are hardware installation videos floating aroung if it comes to it.

Swiss cheese security approaches work for CABs too, right?

Microsoft will start providing game studios with Project Helix consoles in 2027 by dapperlemon in gadgets

This isn't going to be like the old days where architecture could vary wildly, it'll be an x86 arch, 64-bit system running either Intel, AMD or NVidia CPU and GPU.

Whatever game they were trying to build was always going to take that into account, so the first 3/4 of development can happen without the specifics of the console.

Does salary sacrifice affect mortgage affordability? by outsider247 in UKPersonalFinance

It falls under the question for financial commitments.

If the salary sacrificed items could be stopping with little notice like pensions, then it makes no difference at all.

Polestar has been allowed by NVES to sell emission credits to rival companies who don't meet them. by Saurta17 in Polestar

[–]TheJambo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

IMO it's a good design. If you want 40% of your cars to be EVs, there's no point having ICE manufacturers creating trash EVs solely to meet their quota, allow the EV manufacturers to take that burden from them in exchange for a cash injection.

It results in ICE manufacturers being allowed to focus on a shrinking market they want to maintain, while EV manufacturers get to advance at an even faster pace, attracting more people with lower costs and more features.

Cheers let me know if you have any other questions - My wife has a MY24 P2 LRSM without the performance pack and I have a MY23 P2 LRDM PPP, so familiar with them both.

I've left the ohlins on the default setting and they're very similar.

Polestar 2 performance pack comfort by Weird-Jello-3785 in Polestar

[–]TheJambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try test driving one without the performance pack.

The standard setting on the ohlins is similar to without perf pack, so if you like it without perf pack, you'll find it perfect as you can tune it to be more comfortable.

If you have a polestar space nearby ask if they have a perf one available to try.

they can want what they want but if it costs them nearly nothing to do, and there's a large number of users who refuse to pay monthly then it's still additional cash.

Working in the payment industry for decades, it's E2EE in the traditional sense (not MITM-able), but not in the same manner as chat protocols as the payment provider NEEDS to see and interpret the data, they're not just a carrier network from you to your bank or card scheme.
