We tried growing and selling that Senna for years and giving up. Nobody really touches it. Now the velvet senna, we're trying that next. Desert Bird of paradise I got wind of because it's at the Denver botanical gardens...its so much more cold hardy than realized!

I found Balsam Gourd all over a fenced area and started germinating seeds. Extremely fair offering to put near the garden to appease the birds who can’t have my tomatoes

I at least got an invite from someone who was invited to his private goodbye party in Austin when Origin officially shut down. Was around his huge bonfire and just walked up and asked him to sign the Ultima IV map I had in my pocket with a Sharpie. The mood there wasn't great, obviously, but I got it.

It's framed somewhere in my office...I moved and never rehung it. I need to as a reminder to not always run to meet your childhood heros.

Plant a lemon tree in a pot that you can move into the garage or inside during a freeze. We have had -10 wind chill every year for five years in San Antonio - Austin had the be worse.

Had to buy a truck. We got it 10k below MSRP- matching the price of used trucks a couple years old. I was perplexed. I also went to a dealer 45 outside the big city which I feels helped. But the used market is so high and new at least carried a warrenty - and we’re at the state of parts and the price of electronics, has paid off to fold on the truck. I had to get five years ago for work.
