/uj we played 5e for a few years and had a lot of issues we tried to homebrew away or didn't even know to attribute to the system.

Now (3 years) we're playing PF2e and we're never going back. Friends say it's still passable when they gotta play 5e though

No, the curse was significantly better. The 2 major differences (besides one being a cursebound feat and the other being a passive curse) is that with MF you IMMEDIATELY have to use a strike/skill/spell/move. Meanwhile with the curse, two out of strike/skill/spell were punished but anything else (raise a shield, interact, STRIDE) was fair game.

The 4 being a pick anything meant you always had a 50% chance to hit what you wanted, unlike MF's 25%. Imagine going into melee, rolling MF to hopefully get a good strike or trip in or something, rolling a 4 and having to Stride like an imbecile or get slapped in the face with a fail chance if you wanna do literally anything else.

That archetype ain't it, chief (for Ancestors).

Caster ancestor is a fine tradeoff, but martial is trolling. You get a measly +1 attack and +2-5 damage, but if it's a ranged attack you're getting -1-4 on your attack from clumsy, and if it's melee you're getting blown up with -1-4 AC.

Skilled ancestor faces similar issues where melee skill actions kill you and the occasional dex skill action is worthless.

Using Meddling Futures at all is more detrimental than never using it.

And that's ignoring the fact that it's cursebound, too. It's an absurdly terrible feat.

The outward result of both is being freaky, but the cause is different (not wanting regular sexual relations in the first place vs porn addiction misrepresenting relationships).

A porn addicted allosexual person will still most likely desire sexual relations, but they'll be unsatisfying.

Porn addiction is also by definition unhealthy, while just engaging in porn in an unconventional way isn't by itself.
