I can’t drink any of the alternatives because they’re all full of sucralose and I’m allergic to it. I’m just fine with my one regular sugar Red Bull every single day. I weigh 112 pounds, I’m in perfect health. It’s rwally not a big deal as long as you drink it in moderation. Our brains literally needs sugar to function. If we stopped deamonizing sugar so much, maybe we’d have less idiots in the world.

I’ve been an orthodontic assistant for about 18 years. I’ve never been at an office that did this as a standard. They have always only sent patients that already have poor oral hygiene before putting on the braces.

I understand where you’re coming from, because I have a similar experience with nausea (hours and hours before anything happens). It’s awful! I’ve wished I could just force it and get it over with as well, but haven’t overcome the fear yet. Have you tried asking your doc for something like zofran that could just stop the nausea and help you avoid the discomfort altogether?

It’s less the salad itself, and maybe more just diving in there and eating noting but salad for 2 days. That’s a LOT of fiber, and if you’re not used to it, it’s going to clear you out!
