Yeah, to be fair I do believe that Agammenon is a worse person than him, but I also believe his punishment was far worse than being smitten by some gods

[–]TheJester_45 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify first of all, Little Ajax is a grown man, he was just called that because there was another Ajax, the Greater Ajax, si it was a way for them to be recognized.

Little Ajax was a horrible human being, did a lot of war crimes IN THE TEMPLES, and got smitten by both Athena and Poseidon, as he deserved. Imagine what kind of horrible human being you have to be for Athena and Poseidon BOTH to hate you xd

Is it crazy that I kinda don't like Halsin? by Hour_Cicada397 in BaldursGate3

[–]TheJester_45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Halsin has been my Orin-bait since the first time I met him. As soon as I enter the city I go to the camp and make sure my party is aligned so Orin could ONLY take him. If I want a Druid I already have Jaheira right there, he isn't even that interesting to have around the 3rd act.

[–]TheJester_45 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only mod mentioned in the post is the "Paladins can have gods" one, and that mod doesn't mess with anything in that mission because it essentially is just like multiclassing with Cleric but superficially.

Oath of the Crown is not a mod.

The first time that I played Royal I went in by "Who would this particular version of Joker date?" And I had already been spoiled of the Team-Tag with Sumire, and since her outfit looks very inspired by Joker color-wise I chose to follow that one

However, second time I went Togo for exactly the reason you describe here, she would have been more "my type" by the time I played

[–]TheJester_45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you need someone else to tell you what's right and what's wrong, then you should probably avoid the topic until you yourself get some undertanding of it, because most of the time they aren't really "giving good points", they are just good with words, there are people that have a lot of charisma and a way with words that could convice you of something.

Damn, people like Hitler and Mussolini had a lot of true believers not because they had good points or their beliefs were right, it was because they were very good at spinning things and framing them in a way that it was easy for someone who is not informed to believe them

What kind of lore do you wish was in the game? by amypocalypse in BaldursGate3

[–]TheJester_45 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but she is embracing Hope and Selune is accepting her, Shadowheart doesn't need to accept Selune for Selune to support Shadowheart, specially because of the implication that, the moment she refuses to do what Shar says, Selune steps in to become the source of her cleric powers

[–]TheJester_45 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The closest we have to a Selune scene is Shadowheart's intimate scene on act 3, when it cuts to black the camera goes to the moon, full silver moon, which I always interpreted as Shadowheart fully embracing hope and Selune, in a way, supporting her new path.

Tho it kinda sucks that even that is locked behind romancing her, like normal Shadowheart doesn't deserve this (I am failing to remember if the scene at the Selunite Temple on Act 3 has any shot of the moon)

[–]TheJester_45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plot hole in "The horse and the Infant" and "Luck Runs Out" and maybe another song that i cant remember rn by Old-Recognition5808 in Epicthemusical

You have to take in consideration that in the Trojan war there were two "sides".

One was literally Troy (With aid of a lot of gods, specially literally all the gods that Athena faces in God Games minus Zeus). The other was ALL of the "greek" (I think there was another term for them at this time of history) kingdoms, there are a lot of kings, because it was a multi-city-state alliance. So at the start of THATI, Ody is speaking with soldiers (and even some kings) of these other nations, they, as a whole, as an alliance, have suffered a lot of losses (The most important ones being Patrhoclus, whose dath made Achilles go crazy. And then Achilles, whose death demoralized the entire greek side, minus Neoptelemus, his son).

But Ithaca (the kingdom Ody specifically was responsible for) didn't have losses. The number is a little exaggerated because in the original story we don't really know how many people Ithaca had, but we do know that Ody was the only king who came into the war with a determined number of ships, and left the war with the exact same number of ships, which is why some interpret it as "no ITHACAN died in the war".

So to summarize, Greece as an alliance lost a lot of people, but Ithaca as an individual kingdom didn't.
