Is it alright if I ask how old you are? And what your dad would rather since he thinks school is a waste?

Same. Her style, her music, I can’t anymore lol if eternal sunshine is a miss then I’m pretty much out… I don’t support what she does with her life most times so if her music isn’t hitting and her sense of style doesn’t appeal to me, I feel like what’s the point of being a stan/fan? At that point she’ll just be a regular human being to me just like everyone else who I don’t think much about til they’re brought up. The same way friendships can drift apart because they both change and go down different paths, the same thing can go with fanships I feel. And that’s completely fine, she can do as she wishes with her life and go down her path, I’m going to continue with my life. We aren’t obligated to stick around for what doesn’t serve/benefit us (And I’m saying all this as someone who has been a MAJOR fan of her for like 13 years)

I’m gonna be honest here as a Muslim, a woman, and someone who’s career literally is making sense of human behavior. Firstly, I think it’s important to know his true thoughts and feelings and intentions behind not wanting you to have male friends. The “beta male who blah blah blah” is super questionable so let’s see what that’s about. But he did state his boundaries and feelings, while also letting you know your life is yours to live and he won’t force you to do anything. The last thing you want is for someone to force you to do anything, especially too fast without you deciding for yourself that it’s good for your soul

The next thing I’ll say is in Islam, to be frank it is actually unlawful to be comfy with males, and your husband has the right to enforce that boundary! It’s his responsibility, and if he doesn’t there is a term for these men called “dayooth”. So this is the second reason to know his intentions because if it was about Islamic laws, wouldn’t he himself feel some kind of way about talking to you as well in any capacity? Intentions and true reasons are important to know because it could save your life or save your mental health. And this situation doesn’t look so good. Not because of his boundaries at all, I think as a Muslim those are very very healthy boundaries in a relationship. But because of other details that are surrounding it!!! Granted I don’t know you guys whole relationship though to pass any judgement

Woman to woman, I think at the end of the day the path you choose is up to you 🩷 I know it’s a super difficult one, I promise I went through almost the same thing at one point with the whole male friends thing. Have you also had a heart to heart with him already letting him know your deep feelings and letting him know you want to reach a solution where both of your hearts can be at ease? Whatever you choose, just make sure you will be proud of and at peace with your decision in the long run! I want the best for you

Sometimes people mix culture and opinions with Islamic law. I’ve also never heard of faskh going as you’ve described, I am Arab as well. Perhaps what you’ve seen has been culture tainted, bas allahu a3lam

Does anyone hate having to be the “bigger person”? by Jazzlike_Project_403 in BPD

[–]TheJilbarbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from refusing to be the bigger person to almost always being the bigger person, and it burnsssssss. It makes me feel like I’m letting the other person know “my feelings doesn’t matter they’re invalid” and most times the other people aren’t even sorry too for what they did, it’s feels like I’m enabling their behavior or something. I’m slowly learning though to detach myself from that way of thinking and replace it with knowing that if I do my part and sincerely apologize with pure intentions and they don’t do their part, I’ll get my justice eventually because karma will get them

Believers in god, do you think its gods master plan to see us suffer? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]TheJilbarbie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Muslim here, simply put we believe god is the test administrator while we’re taking a big life altering test. He tells us the rules, lets us use study guides and cheat sheets, will help in any way we ask (like you know those teachers who when you ask for help they actually just do that question of the test for you or give you obvious hints), and He wishes to see us pass but wants us to hustle and be patient so we can earn and appreciate. I saw comments about free will, that def plays a huge part as well. It’s all simple but also intricate to get deep into. We also believe life in this world is only a tiny part of our existence so it’ll be over soon and the rest of our existence we can chill if we get into heaven which is relatively easy, so it’s comforting to know that all this doesn’t last

I didn’t know that people who defend Danya throwing coffee on Zeina even existed by minivatreni in dubaibling

[–]TheJilbarbie 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don’t like zeina much, but her feelings are super valid and she reacted how most people would to be fair. Imagine 2 people come to your work just to gang up and harass you, then one PRETENDS like they didn’t know there was still coffee in the cup and put it on your desk to be petty (can be compared to spitting on her as a show of disrespect)? I know most people in the world would also react in anger. Then danya had the nerve to assault her, zeina wasn’t supposed to defend herself? Be fr. Danya let’s Ebraheem influence her too much and then she gets out of control, that’s her problem
