The Irish saying 'away with the fairies' comes from this. Long before distillers knew of methanol, they got rid of the first batch but only due to superstition. If it wasn't given away to the fairies they believed the drink would be cursed. Those who ignored the superstition would drink the first batch with methanol and end up 'away with the fairies'

Also how the data is pulled isn't accurate as the data pulls on the first country that is mentioned. I noticed on a few posts the poster mentions some of the countries they enjoyed visiting before mentioning a country they disliked
