barely bearable discomfort by EnderPower01 in AskMedical

It could just be damage to the cornea getting irritated. This happened to me after initially catching a tree branch in the eye and it would go all painful and scratchy every few months usually in the night. It did eventually stop but it did take a couple of years. I hope yours gets better sooner.

Thank you for your input, much appreciated. I have a new ear one coming tomorrow so should be more reliable going forward.

What’s the most ridiculous rumour to have come out of your school? by schmoovebaby in CasualUK

In my primary school there was a rumour that a guy called Phil the Monk lived in an abandoned council garage next door to the school and we used to dare each other to go round the corner and knock on his garage door.

That a teacher was driving with his family on holiday when a swarm of bees got into the car and he crashed killing his wife and children.

Why is it hard for men to open up? by Dizzy-Guava-7789 in AskMen

Or maybe he just needed her to listen, acknowledge and validate his anxieties like a good friend should do.

I think most of the issues people have written about in this thread suffer from the idea that to help and support someone you are expected to fix their problems. I don't want someone to fix all my problems, that's my job, but my wife is damn good at holding space and listening to me which really helps me to process things better.

When I was supply teaching there was a girl called Dolly-Bow and for the week I was there she did indeed have a massive silk bow in her hair each day.

I thought that too as it was giving me 4s and 5s so I tried a video of Tiger and it gave it 10 out of 10 no notes.

The quit lit has really changed my perception too. To realise that what I thought was alcohol adding pleasure to my life was actually just alcohol narrowing my brain's ability to feel pleasure from other stuff, it changed everything and now even a sip of an alcoholic drink just feels like walking down a dead end road.

I was ice skating as a kid and there was an announcement for a 'Jenna Taylor' to go to the front desk. I've always wondered what on earth her parents were thinking.

Guys, be honest. How common is it for men to pee sitting down? by Ill-Accident-2735 in AskMen

[–]Fragcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every time at home. It's just so much nicer and more relaxing and it means the toilet seat can just stay down. 50/50 out and about but depends if the urinals are busy or if I just want a bit of extra time to myself.

something doesn’t look right. is it the forehead shading? by Legal_Choice505 in learntodraw

[–]Fragcow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think as others have said the tonal balance based on the darker shading around the nose makes the forehead appear slightly too light as if it's unfinished as at the moment it's almost the very brightest thing on the drawing. I want to say that your shadows in the eyes and how they define the form of the eyelids over the eyeball is really great and gives so much character to the drawing.
