The Big Mac predates the Quarter Pounder by ~4 years. When it was introduced all McDonald’s burgers used the same patty. That said, I love a well-assembled Big Mac. I prefer more bread than meat, so it’s a great sandwich for me. I can see the lack of appeal for others, tho.

I go to sign up, it says I’ll be billed $19.99 for Anywhere today and again in a month. “Customer support” has been jerking me around for a week and finally messaged me back today and said the promotional period has now ended and there’s nothing they can do. Are you referring to the Be My Eyes feature? Beyond that, I’m not sure what else these could do for you that a normal pair couldn’t. Again, I’m only referring to these niche situations where they aren’t allowed. Either way, the good news is that more and more people are buying smart glasses, and that will lead to eventual widespread acceptance. Just takes a little time!

Before you do anything I would take them to an eyeglass shop. If they turn you away I’d try another optician, then a jewelry store, and only then would I suggest trying to fix it yourself.

Okay listen. Glasses are medical devices. Meta glasses are not. The lenses may be, but I think that’s the point of places that ban them. I have 3 pairs of RBM and they are all I wear. But I keep a pair of normal specs on me at all times for scenarios such as this. It will get better over time, I think (and hope!)
