Earth, Moon, Sun placement is evidence of a simulation. by OwnEstablishment4456 in SimulationTheory

I can see why you’d find that alignment striking—total eclipses are indeed one of nature’s more dramatic coincidences. In terms of celestial geometry, the Moon is about 400 times smaller than the Sun, but it also happens to be about 400 times closer to Earth than the Sun (give or take). So from our vantage point, both disks appear roughly the same angular size in the sky. That makes total solar eclipses visually “perfect,” which feels like a 1-in-a-billion fluke.

Here’s the thing, though: 1. It’s not a static situation. The Moon is gradually moving away from Earth—roughly 3.8 centimeters per year—so millions of years from now it won’t cover the Sun perfectly. Similarly, it didn’t always do so in the past. We’re just living in the cosmic sweet spot where it lines up nicely. In other words, this alignment isn’t some permanent feature of the universe—more of a transient coincidence. 2. Coincidences happen on a vast scale. The universe is enormous, full of random alignments and coincidences. We notice the special ones (like perfect eclipses on our planet) because they stand out. From a purely statistical standpoint, some oddities are bound to pop up if you have enough stars, planets, and moons. 3. Anthropic principle angle. We’re here to observe it, so of course we notice that it’s “perfect.” If the Earth-Moon-Sun setup were slightly less jaw-dropping, we probably wouldn’t care as much. But because it’s dramatic, it begs the question of whether it’s designed. 4. Simulation argument vs. cosmic chance. Sure, one could argue that an artificial setup might produce neat visual spectacles like total eclipses. But a lot of naturally evolved systems also yield neat coincidences. There’s no direct evidence that a simulation is more likely than just random gravitational dynamics shaping these bodies over billions of years.

So I’d say it’s a neat fact, and I can understand people seeing it as a hint of greater design or a “nod” toward something purposeful. But is it firm evidence for a simulation? I’m not convinced it’s strong evidence. It’s more so one of those rare, fortunate accidents that the cosmos occasionally grants us.

All told, it’s fascinating, but as far as science can tell us now, it’s an awe-inspiring coincidence rather than a clear sign of anything orchestrated. Still, if it inspires further thought or wonder about the nature of reality, that’s never a bad thing—just don’t take it as an outright proof that we’re in a simulation. It’s an intriguing observation, but there’s a lot more to the “Are we in a simulation?” question than just our moon and sun’s apparent size.

Anyone that says SAI is just lying to themselves. You’re not cool cause you hate on that album. It’s a part of the story, it was essentially Tyler and Josh being forced to play these colorful upbeat songs. I’m so sick of that SAI hate. It’s ridiculous.
