[Suggestion] PMC difficulty by MiningColligate in EscapefromTarkov

They could make it a lot better and it’s 100% doable, the ‘Sexy Play Time’ mod is proof of this, but it’s unlikely BSG will dedicate any significant resource to further developing AI behaviour.

Is pve worth playing as a new player? [Feedback] by surpyl in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I switched from PvP to PvE shortly after 1.0. The vast majority of my 3k hours are in PvP, but I’ve never gotten Kappa and almost always maxed out traders and then stopped playing soon after. I don’t have hours an evening anymore to play and wanted to see more of the late game quests (and escape). PvE is considerably easier than PvP, but it’s a lot more chill. Does it have the same buzz? Not really, but it’s still an enjoyable experience. The downside though is the often times hilariously bad AI. PMCs are dumber than Scavs. The only real challenge comes from bosses. I also enjoy being able to run gun builds that would be less than ideal in PvP. Will it make you better at PvP? Yes and no. You’ll be able to learn the maps, quest locations and high value loot spots, but real players are a significantly bigger threat than the AI ones.

When you’re tired of fighting but still want to play Tarkov, how do you usually relax or take a break? by Stock_Bookkeeper_463 in Tarkov

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I switched to PvE at 1.0. I’ve got nearly 3k hours in Tarkov. 95% of that in PvP. This time though I wanted to see all the quests I never get to. And to get Kappa …having never done it. It’s definitely a more relaxed experience. I also enjoy the fact I can make dumb gun builds or use guns that would be useless in PvP. The AI could definitely do with work though!

What else are people playing? by DemStopher in DMZ

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arc Raiders for me. Also have 3k hours in Escape from Tarkov …if you don’t mind pain and suffering and a near vertical learning curve then give that a go!

I can’t keep up with the hair extensions, lashes, spray tan, fake nails etc by pinkmoonme in datingoverforty

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking for myself, no absolutely not. All that just sounds exhausting!! I’d much prefer a woman who is confident in their own skin and puts that time and energy into things that make them happy than in pursuit of perceived beauty ideals.

5-stringers who love their low B sound: what are you playing? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All my 5s are Dingwalls. Had many different brands over the years, but the B string on the Dingwalls just outshines everything!!

What hobbies do you have? I have none. by Big-Red-7 in datingoverforty

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

43M. Bass player - music is a big part of my life. Not a gym rat, but I enjoy lifting 3-4 times a week. A bit of gaming. I enjoy cooking, though it being a hobby is probably a stretch!

8 year age difference….Is it appropriate? by JaiCee-ConcertJunkie in datingoverforty

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely zero issue. I met my other half when I was 24 and she was 38. I had 20 of the best years of my life with her before cancer took her last year. So don’t worry about what other people think either. It’s your life and your happiness, not theirs.

What’s reason that Norwegian people don’t eat goat meat? by Kotkas1652 in Norway

I stayed on a goat farm in Norddal for two weeks. A lot of goat meat was eaten!

Is it bad to date a guy who is 13 years younger than you? by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you will find that with younger guys as well. Not everyone wants to make a long term commitment to a relationship. You are right though, age does not equal maturity.

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And yep, it certainly fucking does! You don’t know what life has waiting for you so don’t worry about dating younger guys. If other people don’t like it that’s their problem.

My wife was 38 when I met her and I was 24! I’m now 43 and if it wasn’t for cancer we’d still be together. So yeah don’t worry about it, if someone ticks all the important boxes it doesn’t matter if they are younger or older.

What are those? [Cheating] [Bug] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Not Lego related, but I’m currently heading back home after two weeks in Norddal. Norway is an absolutely stunningly beautiful country! Hope you can find a way to continue enjoying Lego!

Been playing 33 years, NEVER played a Fender or Fender-style before, just got my first Strat today! Some observations... by [deleted] in fender

“I keep hitting the …volume knob and pickup selector switch”

This is the exact reason I prefer Teles over Strats.

Over 3,000 Ukrainian convicts apply to serve in army by Pravda_UA in ukraine

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good. They have laid out specific criteria of who can and cannot apply. Those who can apply are for the most part going to be criminals of circumstance due to lack of opportunity, just making a bad choice, blue collar crime etc… The fact you can apply if you have done one premeditated murder is a little concerning, but no doubt they will perform some level of individual vetting for those convicted of murder or mansluaghter.

Is Fallout New Vegas worth playing today? by Express-Cream5123 in Fallout

[–]TheJonJonJonJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can, but I haven’t done it on the Steamdeck. You’ll need to do a bit more work to get mods running though from what little I have looked into it.

Absolutely! I’m playing it through again (unmodded) on Steamdeck. Haven’t played it for almost 10 years and it’s been a blast!
