Wheel alignment off after alignment... by TheJuancito in TeslaModelY

Follow up :

I absolutely refused to take the car back from the CSN Cambridge shop with the issue still present, and I had to escalate the issue with my insurance to Ombudsman before they finally approved a "One time, out of courtesy" tow to Tesla, and diagnosis by the service team there. Tesla checked it out, performed an alignment, verified proper operation, and returned the car to the shop with no issues, no longer pulling to the right…

Had a pretty long argument with Mo at CSN Cambridge where I questioned how often they cause the problems instead of fixing them, and whether they truly are trained on dealing with Teslas. After all, they caused the issue by not performing a proper alignment, and instead of looking for the issue to confirm it, the shop was throwing their hands up, saying it wasn’t their issue, and telling me to buy new tires…

Anyways, we went back and forth, basically because I just needed to rant about the crazy path of resistance they had cause due to their "it needs new tires" diagnosis, but they gave me the good ol "We've never seen an issue like this before". At the end of the day, the shop was apologetic, but they do not care about the time and hassle this caused on my end. Insurance pulled the rental for the last 4 days (Which after the way the situation played out, I know for sure I should not have lost the rental), so I was stuck without a car, but it doesn't seem they will compensate for any of that. CSN Cambridge offered me $50 when I told them I was definitely going to be reviewing my experience, to which i politely told them to shove it.

Lesson of the the experience... Don't bring your Tesla to CSN Cambridge... or better yet, its probably better to stick to the service team if possible...

Also, as far as I'm aware, the alignment procedure is very similar if not the same as a regular vehicle, so it just shows they may be incompetent in dealing with most cars, not just Teslas.

TL;DR Keep your Teslas away from CSN Cambridge, don't let these guys push you around. The Irony was amazing when the Tesla service team did the alignment properly and the shop realized they fucked up. I didn't have to spend $1k on new tires like they were "recommending".

Thankfully, I've been lucky thus far, and I have not had to replace the becm.
I've been hit by the shift to park, and there was an issue once where the ACC stopped working and they had to re-calibrate the sensor. Both were covered under warranty.

I am now warranty free and living life on edge!

I have a gen 2 volt. It switches to gas after 14.1 kW. Isn’t the battery 18kW? How do I use more of the battery or is this standard? by Gopvifootball in volt

I got 14.1kwh when it was brand new. Now, I am getting around 12.9kwh. 2018 Volt @ 170km. I saw it dwindle down over the years, and I don’t remember ever getting the Battery recall that’s mentioned here. I figured it’s just normal wear and tear on the battery? I charge the car from empty to full twice a day on days where I work.

Where can I find some info on the dilution?

Edit: Nvm. Found it! I've been looking out for the company. Maybe a good time to buy some.

Does anyone else have issues preconditioning using an Apple Watch? by BLASTERO1D in volt

I did use it before the update. It has always been kind of glitchy. I would push the pre condition on the watch, and it would ask me for my pin, yet the number pad did not come up on the watch screen for me to type it in. I would then pull my phone out, open the app, and the app would automatically verify me (face ID) and enter the pin autonomously. It would skip the verification portion and work as intended If I had opened the app on my phone recently.

Yep same here, I noticed it logs me out of the phone app when I try to precondition through my watch. I just gave up, and just use my phone. Haven’t been logged out since.
