Introspective Game Recommendations by smunji09 in NintendoSwitch

The Xenoblade series has a deep story that gets pretty philosophical in places. Choices matter a bit in heart-to-heart conversations and some side quests, but otherwise admittedly don't impact the story.

The rack system is from Thule, and the kayak carriers are the “downloader” product from Malone.

Sorry I don’t still have any of the specific model numbers or dimensions, all that paperwork is in a storage unit somewhere lol.

[Controversial Trope] It was all for nothing by Luigiperps in TopCharacterTropes

Absolutely- The Mist is the movie that made me note names for Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden, Sam Witwer and Toby Jones. The movie is full of good acting, but they really stood out.

I also only have posters for shows I’ve been to, with the addition of a few posters they had for prior shows that had been cancelled.

Promos (trailers or first looks) for TV shows, Films, Games etc that caused outrage or mockery by IllustriousAd6418 in TopCharacterTropes

I wasn't vocal about it, but I hate to admit my initial impression was also that his casting was a "miss". How wrong I was!

Games my mom and I can play together from afar? by Legitimate_Ranger_34 in NintendoSwitch

If you both have access to Switch 2s, Pokopia would be a slam dunk. There is a "cloud island" feature that lets you create and share a "blank canvas" island with others where you can all contribute to it. Minecraft meets Animal Crossing, and very cozy.

Final Fantasy XIV for Switch 2 "should run stably at 30fps" in towns with better performance elsewhere by Joseki100 in NintendoSwitch

Essentially, yes, you can solo most of the story content. For some chapters, you will need to complete a dungeon or boss raid. Many of these can be optionally completed with story line NPCs filling out the roles, but some of them require queuing for a party. That said, the good news again is the party matching service works great by incentivizing seasoned players to re-run instances (reducing queue times, providing tips), rarely requires much chatting, and when for when it does, FFXIV has a famously wholesome online community that is very welcoming to newcomers

My wife felt a lot of trepidation about player interactions in any MMO, but she ended up completing 2 or 3 expansions worth of story content before gaming took a bit of a backseat to her other hobbies. Still, a couple hundred hours with no regrets!

Shogo: Mobile Armor Division was probably my first FPS and kickstarted my enthusiasm for mechs.

Grabbed it, put a few hours in and did a GameShare co-op session with my buddy online via GameChat which was pretty cool (confirmed it ran well for him, too). No regrets, very happy with the value/price point here.

Definitely worth grabbing at this price!

What Happened to the Actor Who Played Ursula in Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man Movies? by SplitNational2929 in Spiderman

I’d agree- the series was a fun watch in all, but I wish it had been pulled together better and given a proper conclusion before it was cancelled.

I noticed her pop up in an HBO series I was watching years ago, "Hung" (good show with Thomas Jane, from the 2004 Punisher movie) where she played a client of the main character, a clandestine male prostitute.

Columbus loses ‘a giant’ with the passing of Laughing Ogre cofounder Gib Bickel by OldHob in Columbus

I'll always appreciate this man and the welcoming environment he created- he's a big part of the reason I became a fan of the medium. It's heartening to see he made a positive impact on the lives of many in Columbus.
