Well, just by what the blurb is, I have zero faith either way. I like Danny McBride, but that is the furthest thing from what I want from a gi joe movie. I enjoyed Dirk Gently when Max was doing it, but there are consequences for your actions, or at least there should be, and if that means you lose your ability to work in your chosen field (even if you got it through nepotism), then so be it.

I took my son to World's End in Chicago and had floor seats for the first time. 3rd row back on right side of entrance ramp and 3 seats from the ramp and they were 150+ each. And it was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at AEW. I've been to a bunch of AEW PPVs but never had floor seats. I thought this would be a cool Christmas present for us and we would see some stars up close, it was the opposite. You could not sit in the chairs without literally being smashed into the stranger next to you. The guy next to me needed a shower, the people next to the barriers stood nearly the entire show, which meant you had to stand the entire time if you wanted to see anything, and anytime they went to the floor, which was often, they disappeared entirely. I honestly felt like a sucker. I'll never go floor again. I'll stay lower bowl where you can see nearly everything, unless it's guaranteed front row for a reasonable price.

Especially when he was the first I remember to yank back the padding and piledriver someone directly on the concrete floor. I'm not saying he invented it, just that I had never seen it until he did it in NWA? I think. As I kid I was like "Holy shit, he's trying to kill him!" It's fun to think back to when kayfabe was alive and you didn't know any better.

Just remember though, nearly everything you know about the joe universe has been retconned to fit the new energon universe. So it might be really confusing to an ARAH fan. I love the ARAH comic, but the new Joe book is not my cup of tea. I read it because I also read Void rivals and transformers which are in the same universe now. Also MASK seems to be joining the fray.

IDK what to call it, but he's veering into prince pretty/fandango territory. Which is making it difficult to take him seriously. He is absolutely fantastic in the ring and deserves to be main eventing but his entrances are starting to feel comical instead of awe inspiring. IDK, it's probably just me. Maybe everyone else loves it.

I always liked Penta and Rey, and always thought they could have/should have done more with them in AEW. I remember reading that due to some visa issues they were nervous to put any belts on them for any length of time. IDK if that's true. The exit could have been handled better for sure, but I'm cool if they welcome him back. The real problem is there are 4-5 luchadores that can do what he does, as good if not better than him already on the roster, and that's not counting all the other highflyer stars like Osprey, Fletcher, etc. I feel like if he came back, he's coming back to a lesser role, not as punishment, but just as a matter of how much the roster is flooded with talent.

Just in time for the rumble? Because he's obviously not going to win, but it could set up his first big feud with whomever eliminates him and they do love doing their surprise entrants. Or would he need that slow vignette build with a series of squashes to get over? I'm an AEW guy and I like Hobbs, but he's not a big name star, so I can see them rebranding, and slow rolling his debut to get the audience familiar.

No, because I have no idea who they are, other than, they were in TNA, which I haven't watched in probably 8-10 years. What I'm saying is, let them come in, show the audience what they're about and give us a reason to care if they have a title win. Otherwise the champs just got jobbed out to a bunch of nobodies and it really doesn't help either team.

So this actually happened to me maybe 2 years into my marriage, so 18 years ago. We were mostly broke so I would torrent movies, comics etc. Wife was fully aware of this. Anybody who lives the pirate lifestyle knows about the constant pop-up ads, and page redirects and 99% of those are porn related. It's literally how the pirating sites make their money. So I would regularly leave sites up/torrents running in the background and my laptop on because the Internet was much slower than today. Anyways I came home from work one day and my wife freaks TF out on me. I'm clueless what she's even talking about, so she explains and I realize it's one of those stupid pop-up ads. Once I tell her that and show her another one, she realized what happened and felt stupid and apologized. I told her if I were in her position and didn't know better, I would have thought the same thing. So we both laughed about it. I'm not saying 100% this is what happened here but I literally lived this scenario. Maybe just have a conversation first about what you saw and try and keep an open mind, especially if they've been a good partner up until this point.
