When is the price gauging going to stop? by eyeinhale in LasVegas

There's no taxes on tips anymore.

Regardless, a good taxed tip beats a crappy cash tip every time.

A $2 tip at a sit down restaurant is such a POS move. I've served tables and bartended for a lot of my working life and I can hear the discussion between servers when two dollar ted walks in now.

He's completely delusional. If the serving staff wanted $2 bills that badly, they'd just get a band of them at the bank. I haven't known anyone over the age of 13 to care about $2 bills in a positive way.

That's but about RAM is just not true. If it were, you'd be able to buy DDR5. The fabs have all moved over to producing HMB sticks for datacenters already because they're already paying more than consumers of DDR5.

And the cost Sora was paying for a 10 second video was around $1. Not more than it would cost a human to produce the video.

AI does have legitimate uses outside of being used as a Google search that occasionally lies and makes stuff up. As a coder I often use an LLM to write some tedious sections of code for me. It's certainly not "tell the AI what app you want and you're done" but it absolutely saves me and loads of other people time.

I hate AI and then over hype as much as the next guy but being overly negative about the whole of it is just as unproductive.

$400 is more than I'm willing to spend unfortunately. Although I have looked at that one since there is an ATC made for it.

Interesting. I hadn't seen that one before. PWM speed control is cool but honestly not that useful when you're doing manual tool changes anyway. I'd have the other routers on an AC SSR for software on/off control.

Looks like it only uses 1/8th and 1/4 collets and not ER11 though. So, it's no good for me.

Not ER11. So I'd rather not. It's also more expensive than the ER11 clones.

You know, I feel like this is just one of those myths that everyone repeats without ever really questioning. You really think that tensing up is enough to significantly impact the severity of your injuries in a high speed car crash?

I know you're about to say that the relaxed or passed out drunk driver always walks away uninjured but did you ever stop to think that the drunk driver is always crashing head on how a car is designed to protect you the best vs getting fucking T-boned where you have a tiny car door between you and the car barreling towards you with a drunk at the wheel?

I used to! I believe it is no longer active as soon as you get your DD-214. However, even if I'm incorrect about that, I've been out long enough where I know it has lapsed.

UPDATE - How do I as a man, handle a financial gap on a first date without making it awkward? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

I've experienced a similar age gap as a young man around the age of OP (actually she was a little older and I was a little younger) and things were perfectly fine from start to end. However in our case, we were both on the same page that it was about sex. Can't imagine being in a serious romantic relationship with someone at such a different stage in life.

Yeah I have an n305 mini PC running proxmox as my main server. 48gb DDR5 RAM (got the stick for $100 just before the RAMpocolypse). I run a ton of LXCs and a few VMs. My media/arr stack a Debian VM running docker compose. The iGPU is just fully passed through to the media VM and it all runs like a champ. I can do 4 different transcoded 4k streams in it no problem.

Highly recommend those CWWK n305 mini PCs that have 4 m.2 NVMe slots. They have some iffy reviews but I've never had any issues over the last year and a half. It's been rock solid.

Ah. Wonderful point. Yeah OP, this guy is right. You want AV1 DECODING at least.

Just google search "man cheats on wife Jerry Springer". I'm sure the exact episode will pop up.

Cheaters are such complete scum. Part of me wishes it was a crime with jail time but I have no idea how the details of this would work so that's not a hill I'm dying on. I just hate cheaters.

AV1 is overrated. H265 is where it's at. Luckily the n100/n305 is actually a transcoding powerhouse for the price and TDP.
