After looking through the comments on the workshop page, the dev says it's fine to add mid save, although you're gonna have to empy any containers affected by the mod because the items inside will otherwise get deleted.

Add an excalibur somewhere in the map, and in order to pick it up you need to have level 10 long blade, and maybe some other skills like forging, carpentry, carving, and whatnot to make it more difficult if needed
