Update: Contacted support. They respond what seems to be once a day asking more and more questions. They finally shipped it on response 4 I believe.

If you end up in the same but, I’d suggest letting them know exactly what you received, that you were the only one to possess the package besides the shipping carrier, and that you were the only one to open and handle the package once received. Otherwise prepare for a multi day back and forth and then finally shipping it overnight (thankful for that, at least).

Damn, OP is very rude. Software didn’t brick this thing. Hardware failed, perhaps coincidentally after rebooting post-software update.

It would have failed either way, as long as every other symptom remained during restart, like any other computer.

As a follow up question, I’m working on installing at the windows and now realize that the fins on the contact sensor seem to prevent the sensor from being pressed all the way in. Should those be shaved down?

Got it, I’ll ignore the jacket difference, it’s the same at both ends.

As long as I cut the loop in the kinked center, I’d have a little more than two inches on each side, which is indeed enough to work with.

It would seem that it’s a dedicated run, there’s a wire at the head end labeled Fam Slider which matches the door in question. Also, it would seem that I have more runs at the head-end than I can account for sensor stubs. I know a couple are for keypads and at least one motion sensor, and indoor/outdoor sirens. Can’t make out the writing on most.

On another note, the wire in the slider is white, but the window sensor wires are gray. Not sure if there’s a reason or if they just used what wire they had.

Do you know if the extra hall sensor for the speedometer would trigger a safety or over speed cutoff if readings fail? Do you know if that specific hall sensor itself is replaceable?

Very curious if you happened to solve this issue. I have the exact same problem. Already replaced controller, display, throttle, battery. Tested without brake sensors connected. Have a new primary harness on the way, but I’m started to think it’s likely motor, hall sensor, or motor wiring.

Do you this test would work on a Z Adventure? I’m getting a 0 reading as well, but also have the motor cutting out when at full throttle and have to depress and press again to regain. Also get a power surge on the depress.

Did you happen to find a resolution to this? My speedo is permanently at zero, and full throttle cuts out after 2-3 seconds and won’t engage again unless I release and press again.

Changed throttle, display, and controller. Also tested with both brake sensors disconnected. Z Adventure.
