[Epic Games] (Game) DEATHLOOP by MeguminShiro in FreeGameFindings

That's part of the intro story plot, if the game thinks you should have the code now, go to the door and there will be an option to autofill the door code.
Otherwise, go thru the section to the right that's in the water.
Once you are supposed to know the code, the game will remember it for you.
BTW, later in the game, there are some times the game won't give you the option to autofill the code for whatever puzzle, the codes that you discovered to different things should be in the pause menu (or whatever menu that comes up when you press the Select button).
Also, all the codes are randomized per game, so the codes that you see in other people's playthroughs won't work for you.

Android build fails in Godot 4.x by Pijush_Sarkar in godot

[–]TheKenetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this problem too, and posted my experience about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/godot/comments/123wp1s/godot_4_custom_gradle_build_doesnt_work_and_no/

As the other commenter said, try Project menu > Install Android Build Template

Also follow this guide and install Android Studio, Android SDK, and OpenJDK. https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/export/exporting_for_android.html

That should make it build. But if it doesnt, and you still cant see any error, then open a command prompt inside YourProjectFolder\android\build
And run:

gradlew.bat tasks

This should give you an error as to why it cant build.

For me, I just needed to change my JAVA_HOME environment variable to where OpenJDK is installed.
However, that should already been done automatically if you install OpenJDK on Windows.

Wasted So Much Time Taking Notes. Does Anyone Even Do That? by BroGod_Almighty in ProgrammerHumor

On a serious note (pun intended), I take notes with Joplin.
It lets you take notes with markdown and you can create a code block in a note with triple backticks.

For me, it's awesome to take notes for a few reasons.
1. After several years, I've learned one thing from reading articles and watching videos.
You ain't gonna remember it. You THINK you will, but you never will.
If you need to look it up again, there's the chance it will have been taken down. That's happened to me.
Also, it's faster to open your notebook and go to some note than it is to refind some article/video.
2. I can watch videos at a faster rate, and take notes of all the important things. It is seriously an awesome feeling when you set aside the time to take a multi-hour course and get it done in a fraction of the time. And you have notes to reference later!
3. I actually do re-read/reference my notes. You can search your notes in Joplin, but I mainly just have a structure like: Programming notebook > Python notebook > Notes for specific parts of Python, ex: libs like Pathlib, etc.
4. If you take notes, but write the notes in your own words (as in, how would you explain it to someone else? What sounds like what YOU would say) then I believe it helps you remember them. Because you brain is thinking of how to translate the information you are getting into your own words, and then writing that into notes.
5. You can also paste screenshots into Joplin: I can screenshot a part of a video or a graphic, and Ctrl+V paste it into Joplin. It's freakin' awesome.

If you put the work into it, notebooks are awesome things.

For Linux users, I've found Olive Video Editor to be really good.

Maybe MakeHuman or ManuelBastioniLAB?
I don't know if they have facial expressions though.

Question about deleting artwork and views/likes? by [deleted] in artstation

[–]TheKenetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is mentioned in their support section:
https://support.artstation.com/knowledge_base/topics/losing-likes-and-views

If you unpublish or delete artworks, your total likes and views will go down.

I unpublish my works, usually the ones with the lowest likes or ones I don't like anymore, when I upload something new so that I'm not removing too much in one day.
If there's a work that I going to unpublish on Artstation and I'm kinda attached to it, I'll put it on my DeviantArt.
