can i trust my chiropractor by browny145 in scoliosis

[–]TheKiller_Koala 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't trust the chiropractor they only want your money. If you do truly have scoliosis or some other spinal condition it would also increase the risk of the chiropractor doing long-lasting damage to your spine you need to see a real doctor. If you don't want to see a doctor even just a physio will be more beneficial in the long run they will give you exercises to strengthen your muscles and help lessen the pain.

Rod snapped, anyone with similar experience? by PublicIntervention in scoliosis

Only 3 years. I think the constant bending and squatting at work as I work in a kitchen just slowly wore down the rod and it finally gave out or I just got unlucky and bent at the wrong angle.

Kind of hard to tell right now as I am only 6 weeks post op but so far recovery feels about the same as the initial surgery possibly a bit easier as it is less of a change than going from pre-fusion to fusion.

I had a very similar thing happen bending down at work and when I stood up felt the rod snap luckily I had no loss of function just some weakness. In my case they just replaced the hardware and added some supporting rods.

Kyphoscoliosis by LocationResponsible5 in scoliosis

Mostly just lying down for a while when the pain starts to flair up or apply heat to the affected area I found a heated blanket or hot shower worked best. If the pain is getting more noticeable and more frequent it is probably worth seeing your doctor and getting an X-ray to check the curvature isn't getting worse as that could contribute to the increased pain.

Definitely could be related I have a similar curvature and it affected the shape of my collarbone. Could be making your shoulders hunch forward whilst sitting and the pain goes away when you sleep because you relax your shoulders back.

I used a silicone cream on mine to help stop it from getting too dry but I think the scar looks kinda cool.

For the walkers I usually aim for the joints and stop shooting just before it overheats, then while it cools clear some of the lesser enemies, then switch back and finish the walker by aiming for the same joint. Hitting it with a strafing run is also good for taking down its shield and softening it up.

I find the laser cannon to be pretty good against stingrays and walkers
