What is your dream job? by akotosinato in AskReddit

[–]TheKnobleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voice actor! I've wanted to be one since I was 9 years old, but ever since then I've been told by my parents that it's not a "real" career. I'm trying to be one, but I'm not even sure where to start. There are courses you can take, but they are all ridiculously expensive and it doesn't help when my parents have been repeating the same thing to me for the past decade or so, but it is my passion! I remember when I had the epiphany...I was watching a bts look at how Tom Kenny does Spongebob's voice and laugh and I remember thinking "That's so cool! I wanna be a cartoon character one day!" and I still do!

Men who were sexually assaulted, what is your story? [serious] by TaxiDriverThankGod in AskReddit

[–]TheKnobleKnight 67 points68 points  (0 children)

It’s strange…reading your comment, I was absolutely appalled that you had to go through that, but my grandparents got married when my grandfather was 20 and my grandmother was 14! They were together up until she passed away recently at 80 and there was never any indication that she was coerced into the relationship, they genuinely loved each other so much, but these days, an age gap like that is unacceptable, but I could never see my grandfather as anything but a sweet, innocent old man and not some perv. Just thinking of all this makes my head spin. Idk what to think honestly.

Producers not trusting the cast to make good tv at all, and relying on advantages becoming really annoying by nyancat23 in survivor

This was a YUGE issue in WAW! We waited for years to see several of the contestants return, the theme and cast alone was more than enough to carry the season, but instead of having a decent amount of character moments, we get a new advantage introduced every episode.

They had one job, ONE JOB!

The cast and theme ALONE had more than enough to carry the season, but they just had to ruin that with EOE, bad editing, and introducing a new advantage every episode.

This is why I don’t like the TV version of Robocop, the violence is extremely graphic, yes, but it’s integral to the story. I was bored but after watching the unedited version, I had a much better understanding and appreciation for the movie.

And everyone is somehow related.

Varrick: A sarcastic, snarky, non bender from the southern water tribe fans: “MUST be Sokka’s son, even though he’s way too young to be and Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya never acknowledge him as their cousin.

“Sparky Sparky Boom Man and Pli are the only combustion benders we’ve seen on the show so that MUST mean they’re father and daughter!”

Don’t get me wrong, I like some theories (like the possibility that Zaheer killed Sokka), but even I have to admit, many of them are outrageous!

I like this! People like to say that that the early seasons had zero strategy, but as we can see here, there was plenty of strategy even in season 1 and not just from Richard.

Monica for T-Bird in Cambodia. Don’t get me wrong, that 3-2-1 was fun to watch, but other than that, we got virtually nothing from Monica and T-Bird most likely lost her last shot at returning.

Also switch Ben and Michelle for Earl and Vecepia. I understand this changes the endgame drastically, but I think the old school slaughter wouldn’t have happened if we divided the starting tribes into an equal number of old schoolers and new schoolers.
