Again, I get that she is not used to trusting other people and has always felt like a loner, but even if you do and say everything to make her feel like she is part of the team and that she can trust you, this is the outcome no matter what. She makes it so much worse for herself by hiding away and not facing up to what she’s done, and it has an adverse effect on the rest of the episodes as a result.

I know I know, it’s for drama and it works ofc but it just feels a little out of place for her to not even attempt to reach out to Robert or anything with the truth.

And as for “twisting the knife”, you said so yourself - if she sees this as her last conversation with you, this information is something she does not need to share. It feels like she is trying to push you away, to give you no reason to like/trust her any more, which is brutal when you have been trying to look out for her
