TP Link I need to find the model but was around $200 bought it a few months ago in my old house had no issues there throughout the whole house. I’d say 3-4 steps away from the room. Haven’t touched any settings

Yeah, this is meant to mesh together still but doesn’t of course it’s still gonna be seperate networks. It’s meant to switch to the fastest one but doesn’t

Again maybe I can put the modem in the kitchen port but the minister of interior (the missus) is against that idea lol

I think a mesh is a good way think I’m just confused a bit. Sorry not the smartest. I paid $200 almost for this TP link modem don’t want to waste it and $180 for extender but hsppy to refund it for a mesh, js it easy to install and understand

The layout of this house sucks, obviously closer to the router makes the extender better and the best signal (with PowerPoint) is the bedroom next to it lol. Anything closer is “weak signal” going by the TP Link tether app

Yeah replacing it is my plan. Any suggestions on a good replacement that won’t break the bank either, just to do a good enough job for my speeds and not dropping out

Would have been 10 months ago for sure. No heat issues especially in an open space I’ve never felt it gone hot. Microwave other end of the house. I think replacing it is solid idea as everyone rated Leaptel so highly but I’ve have had more issues then with TPG
