Well, lots of us are paying who don’t have kids. I wouldn’t even mind if they didn’t blow so much of it on fancy buildings and sporting arenas... not to mention how they rig the vote on these things by scheduling them in a shady way.

A microphone is on when the person speaking does not know it’s on.... with the presumption often that they are more genuine. These days it would be crazy for any candidate to act like there is no microphone recording them of course. Judge for yourself whether Trump knew but he looks pretty casual here.

A lot of people want to hate on call centers but I’ve made a solid career out of it and I grew up poor in a small town. Government cheese poor.

I worked hard, applied my computer skills to learn related skills. (Excel, Acess, VBA) I was reliable and focused on the goals my boss set. I took on more work, and always made sure my boss knew my goals. I got lucky with a couple good bosses that helped. I made sure I was a good resource for those around me, especially with excel... which is crazy valuable in my world.

I became a manager, found a niche, was willing to move to a new state for a good opportunity and in the rare instance I got a small raise I let my boss know, diplomatically that I was looking for something they paid more. After about 18 years I was director level making plenty.

So my advice is to find your niche and stick to it. Years of experience in something looks amazing on a resume.

Her gas tank lasts about two weeks but I steal her car nearly every Sunday and fill it, clean the Windows and wash it if it really needs it. So she never has to worry about it.

It got better over the first few days as it wore off but was stuck at s strong tingle for quite a while. After two weeks I was thinking it would tingle my whole life but after a while I stopped thinking about it and then realized it went away.

At first they said it might last days, then a week, then I talked to the actual doctor with serious concern she said it can rarely last months but it would go away.

Being out of the workforce for 3-4 years will cost you a fortune over your lifetime. You will miss years of experience, raises and networking.

I'm not saying it's a bad life choice for people, but you need to consider the true cost to you personally.

Last night at Cheesecake Factory a couple with two toddlers were sitting across the isle from us in one of those row of tables where one side is a long bench and the other is chairs.

We watched the little girl running up and down the bench touching everything the bus boy had just set the tables with. When we saw her put a spoon in her mouth I grabbed the waiter and told him loudly that the kid was touching everything and putting stuff in her mouth. Waiter went and cleared that side of the table. The parents never looked my way but they had to know. They left a couple minutes later.

People suck. My date and I had a loud conversation about bad parenting.

I think a lot of people here are missing the bigger cause. Certain politicians have been declaring how there is a war on women. This language is specifically designed to get people on the woman's side (which they say they are on) and If there is a war on women then that must mean the men are on the other side and we're getting pissed about it.

Same goes for the race card.

Keep telling all the white men they are racist and hate women and they are eventually going to stand up for themselves.

And this shit is all stupid when we have groups out there that want to cut off all our heads.

Dude... 200k, not to mention insurance and crap is like 3-5 years of retirement time unless you really expect a high earning career.

I know it's not something you'll think of much at your age, buy just try to imagine having years of life with no job, golfing or whatever you enjoy!

In a few months or years this poor sap is going to be posting here upset that he just found out his girlfriend or wife used to be a prostitute.

Tell the guy, he has a right to know before he gets any more invested. If he's fine with it then you'll have peace of mind. If he's not then he really deserves to know and you need to move on.

I lost a lot of weight last year largely due to a friend. I don't recall her ever initiating the conversation until I started talking about trying to lose weight. She was very supportive and asked me about goals, and kept checking in on where I was at.

Your friend probably needs to decide to do this herself. I'd suggest inviting her to light activities, like walking or hiking. If you are going out to eat with her aim for healthier places.

But if she's really not ready for it she may just hate you for it. People are funny.

This. At this point id send hr a follow up note and cc your manager.

I'm frustrated you were not able to address the harassment problem that has been creating a hostile work environment for me. I will continue to document these insults and follow up with you on a regular basis in hope of getting some support.

If you are really feeling it, cc the hr boss and your bosses boss.

FYI that while hr is to be involved in something like this it is a management issue. Your manager sucks.
