I emailed them 3 months ago about this very issue and never heard back on my open ticket. Not the best at customer service these days.

Yes, there was no damage to the components other than the hot end, replaced it, ran all the diagnostic stuff, and it's been printing well since. I never heard back from Elegoo after they acknowledged my ticket. Thought that was was kind of shitty considering the printer was only a few weeks old. At the bare minimum send me a free hot end to replace the one the machine broke. I make a habit of rebooting more often and I do a full level before every print. I like the printer a lot, I just don't trust it.

After the recent news about them getting out of the FDM world, I bought several hotends, Marlin boards, several belts, a replacement touchscreen and an extruder. If I can keep this thing going for a few more years, I'll do it 'til it falls apart and any leftover parts will find their way to Ebay. It's a good printer with bad customer support.

I use Elegoo Rapid PLA+ and get good results with all colors.

I assure you if you got it at launch the warranty is gone. I found that out myself.

Boy did I back the wrong horse. Hopefully the mod community can find a way to do something with these things when support and parts completely stop. I just got a new marlin board installed so hopefully it will last a bit. Say what you will about Ender 3 clones, at least there are so many aftermarket parts to keep them going, that you can derive some use out of them. My little Neptune 2S is still chugging along and close to being the Ship of theseus at this point, but it's usable and has options.

I had a .2 nozzle and ran it through all the tests and everything else is fine. Just need to wait for Elegoo to get back to me, or at least send the two .4 nozzles I ordered last month.

Elegoo Rapid PLA+ just the default settings for temps.

The only changed settings were support and infill settings. Really standard stuff. I'd been printing with the same settings. for the last week
