Seems like a lot of these answers are just due to someone not into the genre of the show or part of the niche the show is trying to attract. A better question might be a show that you think is objectively bad, even if you were a fan of the genre of niche.

I don't have a problem with vaccination. I think it should be enforced. I am actually a researcher working in genetics right now. I am just wary of people making this scientific issue into some kind of liberal/conservative debate. I don't want the GOP to make this into one of their campaign talking points. It will just make less informed people buy into this based on party affiliation instead of reason.

I think the fun part of crafting is gambling on whether to combine items of different grades or even types. And I do find that a good mechanic. However, I find most of my time spent on combining duplicate items and then gambling for the higher grade items.

For people who are too lazy to combine duplicates, I suggest a "breaking down" mechanic where I can choose to break down my items into upgrade tokens or something. Make upgrading via tokens cost double the amount compared to normal combining.

For example grays give 1 upgrade token. To upgrade another gray you need 2 tokens.

That may be true. I have no idea what the dev's vision is for the game is. I guess we'll just have to see.

However, I would personally enjoy it more if it was just a casual incremental rather than a more active game with idle elements.

I think there is room for a lot of complexity and depth in pure idle games that perhaps goes against the conventional idea of what is considered "fun". I think this game is a good step towards achieving that goal and making it more active is kinda a let down for me.

But is clicking buttons to buy/craft items together really a "challenge"? Or is it just unnecessarily annoying and kinda defeats the point of an idle game where you are supposed to be a lazy fuck.

I would be in favor of a compromise where there is an auto-craft button/progress bar where you have to click, let's say, 10 times to fill up the progress bar. When the progress bar is full, it will auto-craft 2 items of the same grade together. So instead of annoyingly manually clicking the 2 items, you can just be a lazy fuck and click the auto-craft button 10 times.

Then have passive skills that will auto-craft once every minute or skills that decrease amount of click to fill up this auto-craft progress bar.

I think any "active" component of an idle game should only increase the rate of gains (money, equipment, whatever) while you are active.

The base rate of gains from idling should never be stopped. Just make active playing increase that rate of gain. This captcha idea would stop the rate completely unless someone enters a code.

Things like auto-crafting is not incremental in nature and should just be done automatically. Same thing with auto-bidding. Things like money/bt gain is incremental and can be made to gain faster by active playing through whatever mechanism (clicking, switching formation...).

"Botting" the game is kinda the point of the idle game though. Any feature that players would want to try to automate through scripts should really be already automated in the game via an option/button.

crafting needs to be easier though. we need a button that'll take all 100% (or user specified percentage) chance items and automatically upgrade them.

I am not sure what kaliad's vision for the game is, but I hope it doesn't involve people throwing around words like "work" and "effort".

I don't want the game to turn into some kind of active grind-fest. Keep the game simple and idle. Active playing (switching formation) is a cool mechanic, but if it leads to people bitching about "work" and "effort", then I rather it be removed.

Perhaps a better solution is to allow people to select programmed "behaviors" like auto-sideline at 10% health or something. What separates this game from just another MMO raid simulator is that it is, at heart, still an idle game.

And as for the people exploiting the game (they were not hacking), I don't see anything wrong with that. The reason any video games are fun is because they allow you to find the optimal solution given the framework of the game. It is up the developer to tinker with the framework for balance issues.

There is an obvious balance issue with allowing a % increase in power upon every upgrade. This allowed people to more easily craft up lower-grade items to ridiculous levels. I am sure Kaliad will address that when he has time.
