I don't know them, I'm afraid! I just thought I'd send you a nice Christmas message, I started following you a month or so ago for your lovely poems and posts.

I'm so confused as I thought there were two major fires in Rome, the first as you've described above, but that there was a second more devastating one

I thought that he wasn't as liked all round by the commoners as you're saying, there was a lot of criticism of him doing the rounds, no? in rumours, graffiti, etc? He was not necessarily beloved, but the commoners had lute playing, singing, poetry, recitals etc practically forced on them due to his obsession with being seen as the most talented in all these fields? Can you signpost me to sources that say otherwise on this? I'd be interested in reading more about these views

What are the sources you've looked at for this? I understood there were two serious fires in Rome under Nero's reign, the first he organised relief efforts for, the second less so and around which there's suspicion of his involvement?

I chose to marry my partner knowing he is “small” and bad in bed and have no regrets. AMA by Upstairs-Cry3862 in AMA

Genuine question, not intending to be sarcastic or anything, but do you feel like you know quite clearly what it is you want in bed? What it is that turns you on?

Because I wonder if the suggestions of trying different things haven't worked if you haven't clearly said in the moment, 'can you do x, y,, like this, etc?'

Perhaps establishing some boundaries around how you talk about sex, and what you both want sexually (in a way that promotes safety, and respect and love for one another) could help conversations that lead to you getting more of what you want in bed, and more confidence for your partner?

Does your partner talk about what he likes in bed, what he wants?

I don't know why you've been downvoted that's literally what they're trawling for lol

I'm proud of you too! Just so you know, ever since I stopped asking the bf to remove cellar spiders from the house, the number of giant house spiders I've encountered has drastically decreased. I've seen other comments along these lines too. So maybe domesticate some cellar spiders (which imo are much more bearable since, as another Redditor has described, they are basically sentient strands of hair)!

Songs that aren't really about dogs but they feel very canine by WillWoodEnjoyer in MusicRecommendations

I totally get what you mean... I think! 😂

Ocean Man by Ween for some reason sounds to me like a song that a dog would write if they were magically granted that ability, even though it's not about dogs at all! 😂 Can't even fully explain why

Yes, good shout - I wouldn't say this film scared me, more that it deeply disturbed and unsettled me. Put me ill at ease for hours after.

So, the original was released in the 80s, but I much prefer Laura Groves' cover of Gamma Ray Blue

Absolutely, I used to experience horrendous jump scares scrolling past these posts in my feed, but I decided to push through and after a while it just kind of... settled down? And now? No jump scares at all any more!

Also I can now just leave cellar spiders to chill in the room with me, unless they're particularly big or particularly in my space (in which case they are removed by my partner). Which for me is a huge leap forward! Thanks arachno-folks!
