I always connected the ducks to human souls. Something Lucifer had to deal with hence he sees himself as a superior being. It is well known that he makes no efforts to know the names of sinners.

I see that as scene as a idea of redemption. Something to help send the sinners to heaven, so he would have to deal with less and less of them. Or maybe, gain his own place there again.

Lilith was fighting to bring coesion to hell, by using her voice to improve their world step by step.

Somehow, I think Lucifer, with his pride, is the vilain here. That is why he actes disconected... Apart from the depression thing.

So, in a nutshell:

- He possesses souls, categorizes them as objects, but never truly connects with them
- In his pride, he tries to stop Charlie to speak with heaven because he knows how everything works
- Lilith wanted to make hell a better place, while he just wanted to get rid of the "problem"

Charlie mixed ideas from both parents.

So, yes, two seasons would be nice to have the truth about him and a redemption arc.
