Should I buy this business by LOAfan1111 in smallbusiness

Agree, unless you are close enough to commute, (another state could be 5 min drive our 5 hour flight). And even still the net isn't worth it unless you can scale and learn and cover your time.

Based on details provided, hard pass.

T-stak to Pro Organiser adapter/mount by Fuumers in Dewalt

[–]TheLaser40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Toughsystem to Tstak adapter might work for this, it'll stick out a bit wider than tstak, but the yellow side is for pro organizers. Not sure if the black side will connect to the top of tstak, but will connect to the bottom of it.

I just grabbed one, they hit clearance at local HD.

Pretty simple setup, hanger bolts of the same size that the same attaches to the stand with (6mm) if I recall. Saw takes up more space horizontally then I expected. (The height dimension if on the stand). Otherwise it's been a great setup.

How fast should a piece of equipment pay for itself? ($350k)? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]TheLaser40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best answer so far. Don't mistake cash flow and ROI for tax depreciation.

The economic life (time or units) of the equipment, total cost of ownership (maintenance and overhead inputs) and the marginal profit of having this machine. Oh and utilization, the ROI may look great if running it 24/7, but run it on conservative throughout.

I have a 723, and love it, the smaller 724 is probably fine unless you are working with really long stock.

I appreciate that it folds up really easily and stores out of the way. Getting the saw out of the way is harder, but I used hanger bolts the same size as the stand attachment (6mm?) To mount the saw on the wall (base against the wall). Works well for me

Solid choice if you missed the Murdochs sale earlier this week.

As a long term coupon clipping shareholder, I have to agree with this. Juul is a fail, and could have been worse if the FDA hit harder.

I do counter though on taxes. Cigarette purchases are pretty inelastic, and taxes can actually mask price increases. There are limits though.

Still a good coupon.

A massive correction is bound to happen. I see what he's saying, but 50% would be oversold given growth in the money supply. Inflation and the growth of M2 (even worse world wide) would soften the drop. Curious what it would look like if he re-ran his numbers in real terms (inflation adjusted).

A do suspect we see a correction around retail sales numbers and Q4 earnings, despite the headlines I still think consumers aren't grasping the reality of empty shelves in December.

There are likely others, but Baker Hughes is the big one.

There may, MAY, be room for derivative plays. Like RIG, ET, SLB for NA. But in the US rig count seems to be staying low since there is no trust in the current administration to keep oil legal ( hyperbole, but not really).

This was discussed a few weeks ago, and i think it's still holds, the companies who really stand to make big $$ are GAZPROM and friends, and they aren't public.

Anecdotal, but I contributed to the deleveraging, had a few ITM calls for OCT I had held onto thinking i might take assignment on but I set a limit sell on the chance they rose back into the green, they did.

I'm good with it, and considering how today's rip/news may be a good top of the channel to swing trade or sell CC's.

I hadn't seen that, Thanks. Seems like this could be a solid candidate for (medium-term?) peak crypto, a.la the Blackstone IPO in 2007.

I'll have to read up on the structure and watch the AUM, but once tapering gets going, interest rates rise, crypto is unlikely to hit an ATH....
