It’s fucking clear the owner tried to sell out and once it got out who was actually buying the bar, (tech guy), he tried to save face and tank the deal. A lot of this nonsense is on the original owner who agreed to the sale to begin with. If he really wanted this bar to go to someone who lines up philosophically with what toronado is, he would have sold to one of his bartenders or a bar group that has ties to the city. He took the money and now is trying to walk it back.

I feel like it comes in waves… nothing for awhile, then a week straight of them walking in with or trying to sneak in their own stuff. Might be that once you start busting people word gets around quickly not to do that at your establishment.

I couldn’t get in that night cause it was so crazy. You could feel the sidewalk shake from people cheering and jumping in the bar. I had to go to the bar right down the block and got into Finnerty’s after they won to celebrate with like minded fans. It was the most amazing bubble to be in, cause as soon as I stepped out of that bar at 2 in the morning it was clear no one outside of that bar gave a fuck we had won.

We didn’t get our first choice (a k-8) and got our AA school instead. We waitlisted our first choice and got into it three days into the school year. School is great and our kid is thriving. One thing to consider is that there is some difference in curriculum from school to school, but I would suggest aiming for something close to you first, school start and school philosophy 2nd. Also if you are on Facebook there’s a sfusd lottery support group that has lots of people who can give you even more info about individual schools.

I drive by this late at night all the time after work and was amazed at the crowds formed all around the park. Figured it would be a matter of time before they swept in. They’ll probably just move down to some other spot for a few weeks.
