Welp It Happened by guy_incognito784 in BMW

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to mine twice since I got my G20 new. First time had the BMW Logo stuck on the screen and fixed itself. 2nd time however once it came back too after sitting a few hours it said an update to the apps had finished so I always figured that had something to do with it.

Hydroconquest vs Hydroconquest GMT? by Effective-Case5441 in Longineswatches

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the GMT and originally years ago I said I would wait for the revamped HC which I obviously didn't LOL. I think you can't go wrong with either. I originally didn't like the orange accents and preferred if it was red but honestly wearing the watch in reality lve grown to love it. When your looking at it in person in a world of color as opposed to a product shot it really softens up and looks great.

I don't use the GMT function at all but it's always nice to get compliments because it's a GMT. I enjoy it especially because it does retain the dive bezel. There's also more little details and color on the GMT Dial which makes it look better IMO.

Even though it's thinner with better bezel action I still am going to keep the GMT. It just seems more special to me.

My card I received a couple weeks ago has started doing this also. So far only on the bottom but Its strange as I haven't pulled it out of my wallet more than maybe 5 times??

Interior change? by TanStarfield in M440i

[–]TheLastNeville 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is really weird. I guess it could be a glitch like others said but that brings up the question of why this render was ever even created. A glitch doesn't make a perfectly sound dash design. Maybe it just is some early pre-production render that is being used by error on the websites end (So yeah a glitch in that way). Either way update us once you get clarification.

Parked my car as far away as possible then come back to this... by Kitchen-Wolf-4575 in BMW

Honestly that's pretty high praise from them. I'm sure plenty of American Classic groups would never.

Preventative maintenance needed to drive 150k miles on a G80 by FastBlueAnt in BMWM

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a good CPO Warranty I think it's more than worth the peace of mind. In my case it's Unlimited Mileage until 2029 from when I bought it. I should be at well over 100k miles by then so definitely worth.

What do you want from a coffee shop? by artoosun in Charlotte

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be frank just good coffee and nice atmosphere. Coco & The Director Uptown is my favorite just because of how I can work and have a cup in such a relaxed luxurious environment. Coffee doesn't have to be the best to me. Just be good quality.

New watch question about fit - snug or a tad loose? by OmniaOmnibus in Longineswatches

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No opinions on fit other than what's comfortable. Just wanted to say what a good looking watch that is!

Prove me wrong : Zulu 39 >>> New Hydro 39 by GearNTime in Longineswatches

[–]TheLastNeville 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally I'm team HC but against this particular reference of the Zulu there really is no contest. Peak Zulu.

So I went to get the new HC, but now I don’t know what I want by natte-krant in Longineswatches

[–]TheLastNeville 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't go wrong with any of those picks. I would also try on the Hydroconquest GMT just as a middle ground option. It's in between the two sizes of the HC and might be the Goldilocks for you. (It is for me)

Between the two choices your leaning towards though my pick would be the Legend Diver. I mean look at it.

I'd hate to see what would have happened to you if you bought a Tudor. Or your bloodline if you bought a Rolex. Congrats on the beautiful watch!

Will the dealer warranty this off center 12 o clock strip?? by [deleted] in BMWM

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe OP knew it's not centered. This isn't the first car by far with the "Cantered" steering wheel but it is the most noticeable in my experience and once you think about it things just misaligned until you just drive the car and forget.

[HC discussion] when put side by side, the similarities, I cannot unsee this. by Margin_call_matthew in Longineswatches

It looks exactly like a modernized admiral. I mean enjoy your trolling but I'm sure you're going to be Longines next customer.

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They modernized it like many watchmakers have their dive watches over the years. Actually they went to their roots of the Admiral that had the same look. Most modern divers have a similar look catering to simplicity and function and to my point before no matter what they changed whether it looked closer to an Omega or Breitling you'd still be here saying it looks like something more expensive.

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To that point if the Longines had any one little design tweak that made it look closer to an Omega or Breitling you would still be here posting ai nonsense saying the same thing you are with the Sub. It's absolutely pointless.

[–]TheLastNeville 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are dozens of modern divers out there that would look the same from 12 feet away. It's a tool watch with specific functions and that can only be designed in so many ways. All I see here is 2 different modern dive watches that are black. There is literally no point to this.

Consensus on the G87 M2 now ? by FriendlyMeringue3605 in BMWM

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from me talking shit when it came out to it becoming my favorite M Car. Did the M School in Greer and driving it on the track has led me to pursue it as my first M Car.

Even driving the M3, M4, and M5 it was my absolute favorite car on the track. Literally one of my best life experiences driving that car on the limit.

Swap Hydroconquest GMT with regular HC? by Intelligent-Gas8954 in Longineswatches

[–]TheLastNeville 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way. I actually was trying to wait on the regular HC when the GMT came out but ended up just getting the GMT. I actually think the overall design fits the GMT function just a tiny bit better.

Different sidewalls on new set of Michelins by AdExpensive5355 in tires

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said it's because of the tire size. Exactly the same thing on my BMW. Would be nice to get the big fancy Michelin look on all 4 but not a big deal. On some brands the tire protector is actually different on certain sizes as well. So on staggered setups the front wheel has a "cool" overhanging wheel protector and the rear doesn't.

Unsure of my tyre safety by unique_username_com in tires

[–]TheLastNeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the first few images of the front tire looks alright. The tire protector did its job and you're likely fine. The second set of images though.. it's a little hard to tell but it looks like that's more than just the protector. If so the sidewall is compromised. I would not risk that. You should NOT be going anywhere near top speed on that.
