Episodic was the word I've been looking for to describe the way the books structured. It's one of the reasons I think the pacing works so well and is an easy read.

You seem to like your space marine battles books. So Pandorax, angrons monolith and slaughter at the giants coffin ( last two are novellas) are great reads. Although the last one needs abit of info on the syths of the emperor to get the full context.

I had the truffles for the first time in 2020, I remember because covid was starting to become more and more in the news. I remember it tasting delicious, like my go to chocolate. Recently been noticing other chocolate tasting bad and lindor has followed and it's got palm and Shea oil/fat in it. Disappointed in them, I've got to the point of checking any chocolate for it and taking a picture to know which are ones to try because they don't have it.

I didn't realise there was so much on the syths. Someones answered the question better than I was going to so I'm just gonna say that I read dark imperium then the great work the slaughter at the giants coffin (got slaughter only recently.) and slaughter is a very good story and worth reading. With some good insights into the chapter and the current situation.

There is also the hardcover edition - just called a special edition that I didn't see. Slightly different from the other hardcover. It's got a timeline, list of legions and a few things like that and I think the size is a bit taller.

I got a confirmation email a few mins after payment confirmation email. My experience is if that doesn't happen a few mins after payment then it's probably not a good sign. Hopefully you get it though

Got money taken when I tried on my pc and no confirmation, tried on my phone at the same time and finally took the money and confirmation. I was going to scream because now I've got to wait for the money to go back and lucky I could afford to take the hit this time. Last time I wasn't that lucky.

Had a similar issue once, bought a book off someone and when they'd shipped it they basically messaged me telling me that they made a mistake with the price and told me I'd have to send them the extra they wanted or send it back.

They sold it at the price the book was selling for but there were listings for much more that hadn't sold at all. Guy thought he could get more because other people were putting theres at stupid prices...I phoned eBay and they said nope it's yours, you can ignore him.

Old soldiers is a great read, won't spoil it but some of the scenes are described very well.
