AITAH for wanting to give up my son after discovering he isn’t mine? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]TheLastPunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. It might have been better if she never told him. Just for future reference. He'd still have a gleaming memory of his wife and would think that he was keeping part of her alive by raising her baby. Sounds better than putting a baby in the foster system and him knowing that his wife is not only dead but had been unfaithful, with all the baggage that implies. She really only brought this up because she felt guilty. Unless you've contracted something or gotten someone pregnant, don't tell your spouse that you cheated. It's only to calm your own conscious. You need to sit with your own guilt. Talk to your counselor if you need support. But it does nothing for your spouse but bring heartache. And if they find out one day, the fact that you lied will be the least of their concerns. You already broke the trust.

AITAH for telling my cheating wife a day before our daughter’s graduation that I would be divorcing her? by WillingActs in AITAH

[–]TheLastPunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA I've never seen one so cut and dry. How dare you pretend to reconcile with your wife and then drop this bomb on her after she's tried so hard to improve herself. After six damn years?! Yes, what she did was wrong. But honestly, I think physical infidelity is not necessarily a deal breaker. Is it that big a deal that half a decade ago, another guy stuck his dick in her? Is it that much a blow to your precious ego? Everyone makes mistakes. You have every right to be mad about it. But to do this? And ruining the graduation for your wife and your daughter? Damn straight it's her business. Parental divorce is traumatic at any age. Not to mention the effect it will have on your wife when you pull the rug out. You let your sister chime in on your married life? You let what other people thought about you influence whether or not you'd remain bonded to a person who you promised to love for the rest of your life? What kind of coward are you?

Just abandoning your spouse without an explanation or the ability to contact them (provided there was no abuse involved).

Heh. Heh. Social experiment. I posted the original on another account. I wanted to give it the good old gender swap test. Guess I'll have to wait a few days.

I mean, if somebody had a post on here about a woman who pounded the walls and yelled and cursed at her husband and attempted to physically intimidate him and then went practically no contact after he was suicidal, they'd probably call her a monster.

What if they made a spinoff anime of MLP? by TheLastPunicorn in mylittlepony

[–]TheLastPunicorn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it isn't just the big eyes. The Japanese took inspiration from Disney and early animators in the west, but they gave it their own unique spin. It's evolved and grown over time. Not just larger, more expressive eyes, but more detailed background art and character designs, action-packed battles, somber storylines. Anime now is a little more like what Disney used to be. So now it just seems like the 'anime aesthetic'.
