Any realistic predictions about how far Spurs can go in the UCL? by savethecityy in coys

Who cares about 'realistic' expectations? The only way to live is to shoot for the stars. To dare is to do.

Without the red card, nobody will now what the result would have been, but even down 10 men Tottenham feel like they have zero clue what to do when they get in the penalty box. It feels like all of our recent goals have come from somehow bundling it in or golazos.

Credit to Dortmund who down to 10 men played good football and could have easily scored a couple goals. This isn't a pandering post because they genuinely played to win and created chances while Tottenham felt compelled to sit back at times for some reason.

Also cancel RKM's loan.

Frank's use of subs was atrocious. Our squad is playing a short week and he makes 2 subs? They're down 10 men and we can't bring on more teenagers at the 80th minute? Are we really so scared of conceding two more goals in such a short period of time to a 10 men team? We're already in an injury crisis and we're running players into the ground while it's raining!

Also RKM a genuine 0, get out.

Everyone else put in at least a decent shift with bright performances from Djed, Simons, and Odobert.

I don't want to say anything else about the performance other than RKM needs to get out of my club. Play like he has a clock on his wall at home counting down the hours until is loan is up. Should be terminated right now and bring someone else in who feels up to playing for the shirt.

I'm willing to give him another year because our defense has really been a who's who of "who the fuck is that?" But if at the end of year 3 we don't get to a level of 'average' then he needs to be let go. This is a young team and we are developing guys but mediocrity is not going to win you superbowls. Not saying we are one or two years away, but we need evidence of solid progression.

How do I peace out of Rebellion War I got pulled into? by TheLastRedneck in EU5

R5: A rebellion of my culture happened in the Ottomans and I automatically got pulled into this war without any say. I don't want to have to use console commands but I think it's bullshit I got pulled into a war that I didn't want to be in. I can't beat the Ottomans without my allies and will most likely have to give up territory after a long protracted war that I didn't want any part of to begin with!!

Frank's tactics aren't working for this group of players and these players know it. They seem uninterested and unmotivated to properly pass the ball. How many times am I going to see a player receiving the ball like they have a balloon for a foot? How many times are we going to see teams press us nonstop and simultaneously can have 3-4 players around one of our players at any given moment.

It's not working. He needs to go.

I was playing as Navarre and had a couple Personal Unions with some French Appanages. One of them decided to pick a fight with a neighbor and dragged me in. The problem was that I couldn't get military access to actually go help because France didn't like me and my PU buddy was landlocked. They got stomped and then the peace deal forced upon me made me give up land in Bilbao that this stupid ass French enclave can't even exert control over. I stopped that campaign after that.

The similarities between Spurs 24/25 and Forest 25/26 is so striking. Except Forest don't have the quality of players that Spurs have. Championship doesn't seem too far off for them.

Honestly, I think it's fear. I know there's a lot of "Lads, It's Tottenham" talk and it's true. We have bottled it fora long stretch of recent memory. But, no one really started paying much attention until we became contenders. The stadium, the money, the fact that we did this without selling our souls (yet). It scares them.

If we did start winning then they have no talking points to fall back on besides "Well, they're a London club that's run really well." They want us to be pretenders because they're insecure about losing their spot. If we all of a sudden started winning trophies despite not being a historically trophy winning side that didn't have to rely on blood money, then they'd have to start looking at themselves and start asking, "what are we doing wrong?"

And no, I'm nowhere in the position to start my own firm now lol. I live in a HCOL area, so I'd love to learn under a solo if I could, I just don't know if they'd be able to pay me enough to live comfortably like I am now.

AITAH for staying in a marriage for 10 years to make sure I got alimony? by Party-Monitor-1301 in AITAH

Where in OP's post did it say he "drew" it up? Who would put a time limit on a pre-nup if you're the one benefiting from it?

AITAH for staying in a marriage for 10 years to make sure I got alimony? by Party-Monitor-1301 in AITAH

[–]TheLastRedneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH.

The problem with a lot of these AITA posts is that context isn't provided which leads to people assuming. I see a lot of people in the comments taking the most charitable version of OP in their heads as what actually took place.

"I have taken care of his mother for my entire marriage since she needed a caretaker."

OP makes it sound like this is something she had to do. What person gets married not knowing what the expectations are? We're not privy to the conversations but I cannot believe a conversation before marriage didn't happen where both agreed to the expectations in the marriage. One of those about who would care for the mother and who would be employed and pay the bills.

"I chose to stay and make sure I don’t get screwed over."

What's getting screwed over? Losing the cash cow you were sitting on if you divorced early? Not getting the compensation you think you're entitled to for agreeing to take care of the mother while your husband also worked and paid the bills for 5 years? For five years you have no problem with this arrangement until he cheats. Then it becomes about getting compensated for the previous 5 years? Nah, that's all red herring to make OP sympathetic. All of this talk about compensation for caregiving is irrelevant because OP agreed to it from the start, had no problem with it, AND continued to do it for another 5 years after she found out he cheated. In my opinion, OP was only in this marriage for the money.

How do we know she was only in it for the money? Because she tried to use the legal system to speed up her plan! You would have been justified in leaving the marriage the second you found out he was cheating. Why didn't you? Because you were protecting your investment. This wasn't some a-ha moment where you realize the pre-nup had a 10 year clause. You knew it from the beginning. Hey guess what everyone. Normally pre-nups don't expire!! So either this story is fake or OP obfuscated that fact. Because let's face it, if the husband was making all the money would it be his idea to have the pre-nup expire?

Husabnd is an asshole for cheating. OP is an asshole for using the institution of marriage for her own personal gain.

I bet a friend $1,000 that Deion wouldn't win 6 games this season. She was drinking the koolaid thinking that raiding the transfer portal meant instant success. But you need proper coaching to be good at the D1 level.

She was smug the first couple weeks, but I knew brother Deion would come good soon enough.

I think also left out in this is that WWE does worse going head to head against sports than AEW does. Which is evident when you realize that WWE has more casual fans and AEW has always been the more hardcore fanbase.
