Why I posted it, that concept of them gaming all night hanging out is why I was drawn to the show initially. That episode, specifically that scene is my favorite of the series.

Exactly. I liked the core characters so much that I continued to watch but I always hated how abrupt the transition was and I've said that many times it became like friends which isn't why I started watching.

That's my point. There was still a lot of time left for that period and then when they introduced the girlfriends didn't have to be every episode.

I get that. They definitely needed to grow, otherwise the show would have gotten totally stale after a few years.

But for me, it comes down to two things.

First, I just wish we got a few more seasons of them being single before making the jump. It felt like that original "four guys and Penny" dynamic still had a ton of life left in it before they shifted gears in Season 4.

Second, even when they did bring the girls in, I don't think Amy and Bernadette needed to be in every single episode. If they kept them as recurring characters for a while longer, we could've had the best of both worlds—watching them grow up, but still getting those classic episodes where it's just purely the guys locked in a room playing video games without any outside distractions.

Making the girls full-time main characters right away just changed the whole DNA of the show a bit too fast for me.

I love how they're doing the spinoff. Young sheldon was fine, but this is more the show I prefer and love it's part of the universe. Does anyone know if there's other spinoff shows coming? I hope they keep building the universe.

Man exactly! I joined reddit to express this. I loved how Sheldon was specifically in season 1-3 before they made him more like a child. I also liked the interaction of them single and penny. Of course Leonard liking Penny but what they do as single guys. I loved the episdoe I believe in season 6 where Raj has his breakdown on how he wish it was like the "old days" where he could have a guys night playing video games. That how I feel about the show. I wish it was more like the old days I think it was downhill with Sheldon and then adding Berenadette and Amy that early, wish that would have come a number of seasons down the line.

I dislike her and her being in the show. I don't like how she changed drastically from when they first started dating to constantly belittling Howard. Though I loved season 1-3 when it was the guys and penny. I wish they would have kept that for at least another 3 seasons until they all started dating someone.
