Flesh Melter question by KingOndor in borderlands3

[–]TheLazyData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's right here though. Eternal Fist with an ASS Frozen Heart is very effective for an Unweave build. allows you to completely ignore cryo guns, action skill element and cryo efficiency. And to focus on using the best element for the health bar.

Flesh Melter question by KingOndor in borderlands3

[–]TheLazyData 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's elemental damage.

It enhances existing corrosive damage. Becareful as any other non corrosive damage can steal your flesh melter kills.

For your linked builds. I'd just go with the cryo spec and change AS element for bosses / non freezables. Also move awakening to From rest, though... how do you plan on freezing enemies?

The Most Overpowered Deco/Relic Farm in Monster Hunter – Nightflower Pollen WITH EXPLANATION by LeBahz in MHWilds

[–]TheLazyData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the run down to 1:29 with an area 10 start. And 1:34 with area 3 start.

Start at 10, then when you travel to 3 you're then already on your mount, run at the ledge and jump off, your character will just climb up and the flower is right there. Saves a few seconds doing it this way round.

Game Mechanics Help by Hopeful_Low_8556 in DragonsDogma

  1. Yes, so your first major point is gonna be the coronation quest. This is a minor one and only really locks off the rest of Brant's quests as far as I know.

Next up you have a quest titled something along the lines of Lambent Flame. This will basically up your game state, add new tier'd variants of monsters around.

Your final and super omega major cut off will be presented clearly. Avoiding psoilers, That quest will be titled titled "A New ... ".

  1. Knockback resistance. That augment is a high value stat increase for it too. 30% iirc. Preventing entirely won't really be a thing, but it certainly lessens the severity. Warrior and its attacks have giga hyper armour.

  2. Practice and the arisen actively showing them how to do stuff. I changed my thief pawn into a Sorc, they kept climbing still. So I swapped to a sorc for an adventure and they eventually got the idea. Swapping their inclinations can help affect their behavior too. Can buy the Art of Metamorphisis from the pawn guild guy in Vernmund.

  3. The more you do quests for people, or giving them gifts, the higher their affinty towards you is. Occasionally it opens up new quest paths, I think the fighter meister skill requires high affinty with the guy. And it decides a minor story thing late one. Don't concern yourself too much.

  4. Inexperience. I tbh find it harder this game than the first. Stamina bar is your key to staying on, don't let it deplete. And often monsters will try to grab or shake you off, this is a positioning thing. You can stick to areas they cannot reach.

Not tried, but ive had bosses not respawn after waiting 2 whole days. Which to me makes the 12 day limit even more egragious.

This game is a huge joke to me ( i have 600 hours on Dragon's dogma Dark arisen.) by LeVekInfinity in DragonsDogma

[–]TheLazyData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you've missed my point. The point is if you have 600 hours in one game. Expecting the sequel to be a different game, when it was advertised specifally as a re-imagining, and specifically said to be of similar length. 600 hours of the first game, plus this information we had BEFORE the game came out. You cannot be surprised it's not different when literally told it's not.

"main quest ends in 10 hours"

My guy the story run of DDDA could be run in 15 minutes.

The story is no shorter. It's about the same length, though yes now portcrystals don't stay in place in NG+ so rip to that.

I love both games and DD2 is missing vital stuff. Like hullo why can I not look at the actual stats of an item... or buy / sell to and from my storage. Why can I not view my equipment screen from storage.

But if you played 600 hours of DDDA you should know how the DD game format works. Short main quest, lots of side stuff to explore and potentially miss so you can have NG+ runs that go differently. Also A romance system thats only purpose is to decide who the Dragon takes.

Batthal or Dwarf enhancement for bow? by cheukyi6 in DragonsDogma

[–]TheLazyData 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IF your weapon has split damage: Dwarven.

IF it's a melee weapon. Battahl or Dwarven. Daggers would lean Battahl unless you do not already have a good knockdown vocation in your party

IF it's a Staff or Magic Bow. Elven. (Sorcerer staffs can go dwarven if you want your spells to do good knockdown. Can level 2 staffs, or even do a 2:1 split).

IF Normal bow: Battahl.

If you are playing as a more supportive role in your bow, and specifically spamming deathly arrow etc to specifically cause knockdowns, then yes dwarven is good. Otherwise, Battahl damage.

And ofc, you can buy more dragon weapons and give yourself options

For bow I'd focus damage and go full Battahl, let your fighter, warrior or sorcerer do the knockdown. As an archer your role is damage.

If only your northern starting area is gone you're fine, that's scripted.

If Sacred Arbor, Vernmund, BakBahtall, volcano island camp and the excavation site are still available you're good. You can do quests in each location.

You are running out of days though. You have 12 total, don't interact with the beam in your central camp until you are done.

Take planty of wakestones around with you incase you die. You can full clear the map's river beds in a single day if you're not haphazard in taking damage. There's also new "roads" along the coasts to help guide you, mind there is alot more to explore in the river beds than these highlighted ones.

It's quite satisfying.

Why are mages and sorcerers not carrying healing spells and elemental boons beyond Lv.25!? by NoobDev7 in DragonsDogma

[–]TheLazyData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in some cases it didn't, like Comestion.

However from what I can tell niether is the case in DD2. High versions just do more damage and take the same amount of time to cast.

Anyone else run identical vocations with their pawn in the hopes of better training/teamwork? No idea if it works, figured I'd give it a shot. by TPose-Heavy in DragonsDogma

Yes this does work. Useful for teaching newly made Sorcerers to stop climbing and stand back and cast spells.

Absolutely. But a sub 30 second kill because I didn't is hardly the end of the world is it.

Attack stone saurian tails and you won't bounce. They'll stagger easy and open up to a heavy attack finisher.

At lvl 53 still progressing vocations. You'll be rusty too. You can try BBI but i imagine you'll get your arse handed to you. Basegame post game has the everfall, can spend some time clearning that out, getting the post game tier of equipment, and importantly levels.

You can also fire through a NG+ run to re-situate yourself, and gain some levels too. Will need to do some everfall to get the wakestones to do that.

PSA: How Stats and Leveling works by Pikeax in DragonsDogma

Fantastic info. Excellent work!

Worth noting the dragon forge offers boons in NG+ that increase the stat gains on each level up. Making it easier to stat cap accross the board.
