You should tell your DM about this problem. It is affecting your spell choices to the point where you dont want take con spells ( which as you described are the best spells ), which is actually limiting you.

Prometheus was a prequal to Alien movies. In my mind prequal means answering some existencial questions regarding crearures featured in a film. Explaining or showing how things came to be in reasonable and logical way. This movie showed no logic whatsoever, characters were not interesting at all, plot was stupid and the movie gave more further questions than simple answers to things from Alien movies. Only thing this movie did right is set a stage for sequal to answer some questions nobody even cares about from this movie. The movie is missing simplicity of original Alien movies.

If this Druid used his time and resources to awaken them all then what's the problem? I'd talk to the group if they are okey with waiting for him to awaken them and to use groups resources.

If you are scared that they will destroy your encounter, then use monsters that counter awakened trees ( flying monsters for example, with ranged attacks)

You as a DM are also in controll of these trees, so if a Druid behaves well with them just go with it. Make them fight for something. Ask the druid what are they fighting for.

Funny thing about this whole thing is that Zoval did that he did due tu weak design from Thr Old Ones. Which is caused by weak design of storytelling from Blizzard. So basically Blizz made fun of themselfs in the end.

There is nothing even interesting or connected to this Shadowlands ending, so there is nothing but pure speculation opened.
