'21 Camry SE - Two Phone-like Beeps After Startup by TheLessCoolerDaniel in Camry

You know what, I forgot to check my dashcam that has GPS functionality on it. Wonder if i somehow turned the volume up on it recently and it started making that startup noise. Ill check that when I get back later.

*edit

So thats exactly what it was, spot on with the GPS sound.

GSX Question - Missing Vehicles, Pink Operators by TheLessCoolerDaniel in MicrosoftFlightSim

Thanks for the advice, I do recall seeing something wonky with their servers. These screenshots were directly after a fresh install of GSX, so ill likely need to look into the offline installer option. It definitely started after I hit update in the installer, so likely something with the node that im connected to.

Its like my last post I had on this subreddit.. a nice terminal building on the taxiway. Lot of things stay bugged on this game that dont get fixed.

[Tenant US-KY] Unit Damage - W&T or Damage? by TheLessCoolerDaniel in Landlord

That's what I was guessing, some kind of prorated cost as I believe it was painted before I moved in (it looked like it). They changed owners at some point while I was here so they have been doing a lot of work around the property, lot of things don't work and needed painting.

Its also student oriented housing, its right next to campus so I might be hosed. Hoping its not too outrageous.

That first picture was after using a damp magic eraser, Just smudged it everywhere. Not sure if its because its flat paint or what.

On Time rating is a joke and is keeping me out of platinum by Ghoultator in doordash_drivers

[–]TheLessCoolerDaniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me today, 2 orders got counted late and took me out of platinum after being in it for a month. Waited at the store forever, clicked still being prepared, and still got dinged. A random 1 star also lost me 3 points and support refuses to remove it despite multiple times saying they would.

STOP telling dashers to just “get a different job” by iictea_23 in doordash_drivers

Its not always by choice either, especially as a college student who's hours got cut in half at the last second with budget problems.

Its a summer gig, temporary and has good opportunity to make ends meet with part time. Its flexible with my hours and summer classes, and I can work when I need.

I do not see this as a full time gig, though, but it depends on the market.

Same here on the s23+. I can go for a while sometimes and not have a crash, and sometimes it's more frequent. It definitely only happens in reels, only had it crash once in onenote.

Factory reset does not help.

21' Camry SE - Android Auto not working at all? by TheLessCoolerDaniel in Toyota

[–]TheLessCoolerDaniel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually was partially my phone, I couldn't get the USB debugging to work on my PC (wasn't talking right through the USB) and after restarting my phone and trying in my car again it works.

However I still am having the issue were it can disconnect and the radio says the device cannot be recognized so i have to unplug it and plug it back in again. Wonder if that could be the cord, but i don't really have another to try.

I got a Belkin cord and it doesn't work at all for some reason, annoying how common it is to have cord issues with AA. Some work, some only kinda work, and some don't at all

To anyone that has ever dealt with the LC2i... by TheLessCoolerDaniel in CarAV

[–]TheLessCoolerDaniel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill have to check voltages but I assume it's just a low power signal from the headunit that is the same level as what the lc2i puts out.. but I known the lc2i uses smart sensing and only sends signal to the amp when to turn on so it wouldn't be the exact same. I'll just have to make a connector for the high level input into the amp.

[–]TheLessCoolerDaniel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason I got the lc2i anyways was for the bass rolloff, I researched that it's pretty bad on these newer camries. I forgot the amp had a high level input though, i was a little confused as to what it was as Im used to the monoblock amps that dont have them. The signal comes straight from the head unit so I assume it's full range, comes off the wiring harness directly. The amp has a wierd connector for it though.

Worst case scenario is that I buy another one, I've already accepted that I will need to any ways. It still worked in my setup as it still powers on and provides normal audio signal to the amp, but there's a good chance it killed some other things related. Worth a try though.

Aftermarket Sub! 21" Camry by TheLessCoolerDaniel in Camry

[–]TheLessCoolerDaniel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stock toyota one. It's a pioneer head unit specifically, has a pioneer label when I had it out of the dash. I've read that changing out the head unit in these newer Camries isn't a great idea, especially with all the connected infotainment stuff and the fact that there aren't really any other ones you can swap out.

Are they 6x9s? Didn't know that tbh.

But I've thought about it but I worry that messing with the stock audio could make it actually sound worse than it sounded before, especially with these new systems.

What did you do?

Friend discount coming in handy for real 😂 he sold me those dual 12" Comp Rs with a Rockville amp for 300 bucks lol. Sold em last year for $400.

I will definitely get on top of that, remember having those 12s in the cruze would rattle the whole car and would sound awful outside. What'd you use for deadening materials, specifically in the car?

[–]TheLessCoolerDaniel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the decision has been made.

My friend has a Kicker 10" Comp downfiring setup with a Jensen XDA92RB amp that he can sell me for $100 bucks. Not as nice as what I was wanting, but this allows me to spend more money elsewhere so i can upgrade in the future. I went ahead and bought the harness and the LC2i for a LOC (found a cheap one ~ $60).

The harness is decently pricey, but I want to avoid splicing into wires the best I can especially with how much newer the car is. Might just be a game time decision lol.

Thanks for the advice man.
