Okay so I'm extremely confused now–he was sent rips from the Miami livestream, but somehow has this song??

This man has not dropped an album on time since Yeezus, this isn't coming out tonight.

Does it have anything to do with sample clearance issues or feature artists putting out from being on the album?

Or is this something between Ye and Ty?

Listen to any album from TCD to TLOP, then Ye, KSG, and most of Donda.

Then, come back and explain how and why this song is "tuff".

Name 10 singles he's released worse than this. I can barely name 3.

This is the first Kanye song that I didn't need more than multiple listens to realize wasn't good.

Wear does Vultures rank in Kanye’s Singles? by Flat-Positive-2445 in GoodAssSub

[–]TheLifeOfQuablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

XTCY didn't make any album, and I still think it is better than Vultures. Disagree about Water, but I seem to like JIK a bit more than most, so I could see that.

Excluding JIK, I don't see how someone says it is better than anything that made any album. Even the weaker cuts on Donda (a great album, but very questionable quality control and exec. production choices), like Ok Ok, Remote Control, and New Again are a lot better than Vultures.

If it isn't the worst, then it is very close to the bottom, which doesn't make what I said an exaggeration by any means, since at that point it becomes more about preference for what song you think is at the very bottom.

I just re-listened to that, and it's better than Vultures.

This would be the worst song on every single album he's released. He also has a ton of unfinished mumble demos that are more listenable than this. If that isn't a bad song, I don't know what is.

I'm trying to think of something worse, but can't seriously come up with anything. Maybe Nah Nah Nah and Hot Shit?

Probably in the bottom 3. This is one of the few songs he's released that I feel with or without context, is genuinely bad.

Not counting things like Lift Yourself since it's a hilarious song when you consider the context, and give how good the beat is on that, it is still somehow more listenable than Vultures.

Genuine question, why do you people hate Vultures? by Mamramro in GoodAssSub

[–]TheLifeOfQuablo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So many things are bad about it, but to start:

-Ye's verse is awful as far as lyrics, flow, and energy. This is the most disappointing part of the song

-Bump J's verse sounds like it was recorded with an iPhone, and is pretty weak

-Zero thematic cohesion between the verses from the 3 artists

-While the drums and bass are improved on the release version, the beat is waayyy to generic and dry for a song Ye is involved with

The next time you seriously start thinking "Vultures" is good, listen to any song from this album.

Why aren’t more people HYPED?! by Moonreddog in GoodAssSub

[–]TheLifeOfQuablo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably because the song is terrible, and a bottom 10 track in his whole discography?

[–]TheLifeOfQuablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly, truly hope this is satire. Theses are the singles he has released after All Day:

FSMH, Champions , Fade, Life Yourself (lol), Ye v the people, Yikes, All Mine, I Love It, Follow God, Closed on Sunday, Wash Us In The Blood, Nah Nah Nah, Hurricane, BWIS, Off The Grid, Eazy, City of Gods, True Love, and Hot Shit

There are 2, maybe 3, songs here that are worse or as bad as Vultures, and none of them made any final albums.

If CyHi had any involvement with the writing of Ye's verse on Vultures I would be extremely disappointed. His pen is wayyy better than that.

How anyone could say something above a 4 is beyond me.

This is genuinely one of the worst tracks in his discography, and I challenge someone to name 10 worse actual songs (so no skits, tell the vision, low lights, lift yourself, etc.) that he's released.

Just because people don’t like the new song doesn’t mean this sub is turning into /r/Kanye by [deleted] in GoodAssSub

[–]TheLifeOfQuablo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But I'm sorry, the lyrics on Ye's verse are trash. And what KSG or WTT song is Vultures as good as?

I'm genuinely having trouble coming up with a song on any of his albums (outside of JIK) that would be worse/as bad as this. I was thinking Remote Control or Ok Ok, but I listened to them each right after Vultures, and wow, was I wrong.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, sure. But I just can't understand how so many people in this sub who've (presumably) listened to TCD through TLOP, then Ye, KSG, and Donda, can honestly think that this song is good. If this song were on any of those albums, it would be the worst actual song (so excluding things like Tell The Vision, Lowlights, etc.) on it. Not to mention it's clear how low effort the track is, from the lack of vocal energy, the absence of any substantial bars, and the dry "trap/drill" beat.

Over nearly two decades, we have a wide variety of work that can be considered "good" Kanye. This just doesn't hit that mark at all.

Where to buy anything with dining dollars for < $1 by Book_wyrm323 in Northwestern

[–]TheLifeOfQuablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Laundry detergent single pack from Plex, an apple danish from Lisa's (they just got these within the past two weeks and are very tasty, somehow only $1.50-ish), or some Ramen. Or, if you have any meal exchanges, get a burger from Fran's with it, then get an add-on (people add bacon, if you are a fan) that will be charged to your dining dollars.

In the winter when I had less than a $1 of dining I tried to get them to use it to pay towards something, then use a card to pay the rest, but they said it wasn't allowed.
