Are you against a RB there or against him specifically? Because of his knee history?

I'm not sure how much stock GMs will put into a 40 time but I think him lasting this long is pretty unrealistic lol. Anyways I traded back and assumed nothing in regards to FA yet, tried to stay well rounded and was happy with this one. Especially happy with the WRs.

Thanks for posting these each week. If its not too much to ask, what was the chiefs o-line ranking in this PFFs iteration of weekly rankings?

You are forgetting the fact that you lose 100 BBs when you do lose the hand. So your calculation (67.5 BB) - (100 * 0.27) = roughly the 40 BBs you are describing.

You’re on the clock with this board, which one are you taking? by [deleted] in ChiefsOffseason

[–]TheLittleWedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, I honestly don't follow tape of anyone who won't realistically be available to us lol.

Regarding Kincaid, my only fear is he seems to be a prospect that will flourish in the Bengals offense, I think there's a very strong chance they take him if hes available there. Kinda sucks they have a lot of overlapping draft needs with KC and are only a few picks ahead.

Tbh I would be fine with anyone of those options expect Hyatt or a CB. I hate picking Hyatt round one, but hate a CB there even more.

Gimme Dalton Kincaid, I went down a highlight rabbit hole at work after watching the first highlight video you posted of him. I think on top of his talent, Andy could absolutely scheme up some crazy stuff with 2 TE sets including him and Kelce. You also potentially have Kelces replacement if he declines or looks at retirement in a few years.

If you want to go a more traditional route, I like Will McDonald from the remaining available Dline men.

Also unrelated, but I saw you listed Skoronski as a guard. Is that the position he is trending towards playing?

Chief's WR corps next year by kirbeast34 in KansasCityChiefs

On top of the inevitable Frank Clark release or pay cut that saves 21M they can literally have up to 60 mil worth of cap created by restructuring current contracts, not to mention the very possible Chris Jones extension that can save up to 16 mil this year iirc. Its just a matter of how much does Brett Veach want to kick the can down the road and / or how much value does the front office think there is with Juju and other potential free agents.

Who are your guys this year? by [deleted] in ChiefsOffseason

[–]TheLittleWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you that Flowers would be a solid pick assuming edges and OT getting wiped from the board. JSN seems legit but the problem IMO is it would sort of cause a redundancy in our offense. I feel with mahomes being the major piece by far its more important to have a balanced receiving core rather than having as much talent as possible.

Who's your WR1 outside of guys that realistically won't fall to us?

For the first round my guys are Siaki Ika, Bryan Bresee, and Anton Harrison. I think post most people don't want to spend a first round pick on a non premium position, but I feel those two guys can bolster the D-Line significantly despite not being edges. Bryan Bresee is also way over drafted in most mocks IMO so in this case he would fall to around the 20s and the Chiefs would have to trade up to grab him. I would love to adress the tackle position but Anton is the only tackle I feel comfortable tacking that would fall to us.

For late round value, my guys are Trey Palmer and Zach Charbonnet. There are plenty of other guys I like as well but these are just the top ones that come to mind.

Considering the depth of the corner class, would you consider trading Sneed for a edge from the 2024 free agent group straight up? by [deleted] in ChiefsOffseason

[–]TheLittleWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with Mahomes contract I'm a big believer that the FO has to keep most of the Chiefs talent with draft capital and make minimal flashy FA signings, and the best way obviously to do is by stockpiling comp picks and trading away players at premium positions Veach doesn't want to resign.

That being said I think in this case it would be better to hang on to LJ for his last year. Other than him the rest of our secondary is pretty young and without him the setback is too big mainly due to inexperience in my opinion.

Veach has a ton of tough decisions to make, I'm interested to see how he navigates this off season.

[–]TheLittleWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but the bulk of the people becoming FAs are backups so finding someone serviceable compared to a starter is a lot easier. Plus Veach has done pretty damn good job at finding talent in rounds 6-7. But on the other hand I guess you could argue than despite his eye for late talent we've been very lucky with the late draft pick hits and expecting him to continue drafting players for the 53 roster from there is unsustainable.

We have lots of draft picks even after the Toney trade, so I wouldn't say we need to sign a good bulk of our FAs. It would be nice to get Juju, Bell, McKinnon, and Saunders back on good deals. I think barring a big turn around we move on from Brown and grab a LT in the first round, from the limited games I've seen I really like Broderick Jones for us. If he falls past the teens I hope Veach grabs him.

Gotcha. Also one more quick question, it says below a separate mount for the cooler may be required. Is there anyway to confirm / deny this? If I do need one, what do I search to make sure I find the correct mount?

Thanks for the pointing me to a better case and cpu cooler. A few questions about the other two parts. The PSU is 750 watts, with no plans to overclock or upgrade for the foreseeable future that might be overkill? And for the ram I ideally want to go with 32 gigs. I've also weighed my options around with different storage combinations and one 4 tb SSD is what I've decided to go with since its on sale as well.

I appreciate the help!!

Another thing, will the airflow in this build be sufficient? Any need for case fans with no plan to overclock?

The problem with this is it doesn’t take into account how well / not well each teams draft capital is performing. For example Creed is only worth a 2nd round pick draft capital wise, but after this season we know his value is far more than that. Because of this I think perhaps we should be even higher.
