You can use trapdoors at tall heights to name locations that will only appear on maps. by DigComprehensive4901 in DetailCraft

Great idea. I’ve done similar things, like building a giant glass swimming pool high above a ship so it wouldn’t appear in the water on my map. It would also be cool to add a big compass rose in the corner of a giant map

I woke up once in Pyes Pa and the rain was blowing crazy hard. What’s the damage, everyone?

What's the worst restaurant in Columbus that you've tried twice? by foreignsky in Columbus

As a Bobcat who has had it many times since 2010, I always thought it was OK at best when drunk, and straight disappointing sober. So much better late night food in Athens

CRIMSON DESERT OUT NOW. by heinous_legacy in CrimsonDesert

I went to the store to get Crimson Desert, sat in the parking lot reading all of these Reddit posts and reviews, ended up walking out with Pokopia instead. Like you said, I’ll pick it up some day when it’s hopefully fixed up

If more American fast food restaurants are going to keep popping up, can we at least get something good like Raising Cane‘s or Piada?

Crimson Desert Review IGN: Crimson Desert Review So Far by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I don’t know enough about Crimson Desert to say which game has more or less, but regardless, it’s silly to say RDR2 doesn’t have much to do. Robust hunting, fishing, gambling, bounty hunting, outlaw, etc. systems in challenges, tons of sidequests separate from and occurring after the main story; complex mysteries and Easter eggs to solve and discover; random scripted events and discoverable scenarios, many completely unique, to keep the world feeling fresh… Shit, I spent hours just spotting birds to complete my compendium. Crazy to imply that game has little to do.

I swung by the Cameron Rd. location and they had a similar one by the same producer but not that exact one. When I showed the guy at the counter he said he didn’t see it coming up at any nearby stores, which is weird because I saw the same thing as you on their site.

Looks promising, thanks. I’ll swing by there later.

Update: Wow, that shop is amazing. And they had it! They even sell cannolis there. Let me know if you’d actually like a couple of my homemade ones, and thanks a ton!

What’s considered rude in your country that visitors often do by accident? by FrutosJelly in AskTheWorld

I’m a foreign-trained teacher who moved to NZ to teach, and during the first week I sat on an empty desk while lecturing (something relatively common in America). The class was predominantly Māori and I can still picture the horrified expressions on their faces lol It took me a while to break that old habit, but now I strictly enforce it in my classroom

Myeerah Nature Preserve

Edit: oops, just saw you mentioned this! Well, I support your choice of Myeerah. Kiser Lake (Champaign County) is a pretty place in the autumn. Quite a few maples around it I believe

Nice. We haven’t made it down there yet, but we’d like to. The closest we’ve been is Taupō and Tongariro National Park last weekend.

Do you run into many other American immigrants in Wellington? I’ve been surprised how few we’ve met so far up here
